I wanted to post this here, for people who may not have seen it - I am still just thrilled after my call to corporate this morning:

I just cannot get over Send Out Cards!

They are SOOOOO awesome - we are ALL very lucky to be here with this company.

I sent several gift packages the first day they were available. People have loved them, and it has been a lot of fun hearing about it. When I was with my son in Austin TX, however, I discovered that he and his roommate had NOT received their brownies. Talking to Parker, I also discovered that he had not given me his complete address, by accident.

I figured it would eventually find its way back to me, battered and bruised, and then I would just resend it, but NO!

Last night, I got a lovely and very polite little email from support at SOC. It let me know that the package had been returned to them because of  an incomplete address, and that if I would call them or email them, they would resend it! Excited that it was found, and curious about the process,  I called them this morning.

I spoke to Paul, and he found my package. He verified the new correct information, and they will re-send the gift to Parker and Justin. I asked what I needed to do, and he said nothing - that they would just resend it FOR FREE!!!

NEW POLICY: Although misaddressed packages from the first few days are being resent for free, there is now a disclaimer on the website, that says we are responsible for shipping charges if a package comes back. Paul says that on the packages we send now, this will be the policy, that we will pay the shipping fee - this is SO FAIR -  and read on, it gets better!

I told him I do not eat chocolate, so I do not know much about the brownies  except for all the raving that I have heard    but that I was wondering if  they were packed in such a way that they would still be good. He said oh heavens no, that they were TOO OLD, and they would be sending out totally  FRESH BROWNIES.  I asked if I  would be paying, thinking, yes, I would be, and he said, in that dry way of his, "No, Send Out Cawds is just going to .....well, EAT THEM, in a manner of speaking!" I could hear the laughter in his voice as he said this.....but the story is not done yet!

I asked, and under the new policy as well, we would pay for the re-shipping, but they would continue to well, EAT our mistakes, and send out fresh!

I asked him next about the card. The package was actually to congratulate Parker for something he had done for a HUGE client. I had duplicated a screen shot from them about how they loved the program he wrote, and made it into a Picture Plus card....I asked if they would put that card in the new package - but they just re-create the whole thing, the whole package, CAWD and ALL! They have an internal process for doing that, once the address difficulty is resolved.

Color me FLABBERGASTED!

Every day, there is some new reason for me to be thankful I am with  Send Out Cards.

Obvious TIP: Let's all be careful with our addresses, so that we do not cause extra work (as I did) or run up costs for SOC.

Not so obvious TIP: Paul said that when you get an email about a returned package, even though it says call or email them back, it is actually better to email them back by hitting reply and including the requested information. He had to search to find the rep who had mine.

They do an AMAZING Job at Customer Service,  and What's even better we have LIVE customer service that actually talks to us,  with a REAL person.

That is so rare these days.
