Hello, folks. My name is Melvin Goodrum, otherwise known as the Drunken Master of Network Marketing. Started out back in the 90's with good old Amway, left and set up shop at the newly forming Ebay at the time and sold nutritional supplements and came back into the MLM world as an independent associate of Pre-Paid Legal Services.
That's all I'll say because I don't want to break the rules round here.

Hello Melvin,
An MLM'er with a sense of humour.
Great to see, if you'd like to bounce ideas sometime, let me know.
Regards

Well, with a last name like mine, most people thought I was a drunk when I entered into network marketing. I've been pretty much on top of a number of organizations but its actually due to my strict standards of training associates.
Basically, I do more traditional network marketing although I am now moving towards online marketing of services but I basically cut the bullcrap and get more to the point. Essentially, I don't waste time with 5 way calls and begging people for sales like a hobo looking for spare change. I essentially teach my associates how to grow some hair on their chest.
Right now, I'm involved with Pre-Paid Legal because identity theft and legal issues are hot and I stay pretty well booked to do ID Theft Seminars and etc. With the advent of low priced laptops and portable LCD projectors, I can run some pretty nice flashpoint presentations. Its much better than the old days of using boards and etc.
Yeah, we can trade some ideas around, let me know

Sounds like a hands on approach that you use.
So do you get a group of prospects together and present to them all at once?
I assume when you said 5 way calls you really mean't 3 way calls?
Do you use conference calls with your Team? I have just started conference calls to bring my Team closer together and keep the motivation high. Saves time by having to touch base with them all separately.

I used to do traditional marketing but I've been following a lot of Ann Sieg's methods lately and my associates have thanked me for it. Right now, I'm converting it over and closing up my office areas as the business is apparently better worked online.
So no more 3 ways or etc. I still attend meetings and do conference calls but I'm adapting to the new ages of network marketing. This allows me to buy more supplies and spend more time with my team in making money.
Some could care less but a lot of these folks are my friends as well and I've seen the light as one could say.

Melvin,
Thanks for those comments.
It is interesting to note there is a increasing move towards online activities.
Even my new prospects are moving in this direction (along with me).
