Hello,
My name is DBriere, and I am an independent representative of the Global Domains International income opportunity. I have been in this position for some time now, but only now find myself with enough time to pursue it seriously. I am joining this board because I hope to learn a lot and make new friends.
Thank you,
DBriere

Hello Aaron,
I would really like to learn how to sell well - to ensure that people understand what the opportunity I represent is all about. I don't want every person I talk to to signup - instead, I want to become a better communicator, to ensure that I can convince first-rate players to join my team.
I also want to learn how to motivate and assist my downline in building their own businesses.
So, I hope my expectations are not too high!
DBriere

Hello DBriere,
Welcome to the forum.
No, your expectations are not too high.
Your statement just reminded me of a saying I
hear from time to time that my local radio DJ
says when signing off the air for his segment.
He says this about aiming high:
"Aim for the moon and even if you miss, you will
be among the stars."
Take care,

Thank you for the welcome. That is a pretty neat saying - I think I will post it here at my desk.

Hello DBriere,
Happy New Year.
It would appear you are on a very similar path to me.
You may find Brian Tracey very useful in regards to "closing tips". There is a process that Brian outlines in his "Maximum Selling Strategies" audio CD.
To motivate your downline we must first be motivated ourselves and also lead by example. As our downline will do as we do. You may find your own conference call a good way to keep enthusiasm up. (http://www.FreeConference.com)
Question - do you set aside time for Personal Development each day ?

hello,
One thing that I have learned is the your prospect is actually your potential partner. Learn what their problems are and then solve them. Put the emphasis on them and let go of your outcome and you will see results.

Aaron,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I do put aside time for personal development every day. I am an avid reader on the subject of personal development, but I realize that it doesn't stop there; I still need to put what I read into practice (which is where I have trouble right now). I will look into Brian Tracey. Also, thank you for sharing the link to the freeconference WebSite; I think that would be very useful.
Eric,
That definitely does make sense. Thank you for sharing that.

Hi DBriere,
I will let you in on a secret.
Everybody is challenged and some of the goals we set at the start of the year are not achieved, but there are those that are.
If we have an ongoing awareness of how we are progressing. By keeping our daily, weekly, monthly, stats. We will get there eventually if the desire is strong enough.
What reasons will give you that burning desire ?
Is it to place family members through University ?
Is it to purchase a larger home ?
January is a critical time to build momentum for 2008. January is a time for opportunity. January is a time to reset our goals.
