Hi All,
I have been involved with an MLM company now for 3 months and the potential is great but the more I learn the more I question. Any advice for newbies?

Welcome Eric,
My suggestion to newbies is be consistent, persistent and never give up! If you have found your passion, you enjoy what you are doing, success will be easier.
Success in this industry takes hard work, dedication and time. But the reward at the end is priceless. Self development and focusing on helping others is also vital. When you truly care about your prospect and helping them achieve, that will shine through.
To your success!

Lisa,
I saw that you have your own website. Do you find that to be a good source for you. I am involved with Agel and was thinking about creating a website to draw traffic to. What do you think?

Absolutely. It is much easier to sell your product and/or service when you sell yourself first. There are many great opportunities out there. So, you need to set yourself apart from others.
I have many, many people come to me through my website.

Eric,
Totally awesome. Self Development is the way to go. Alot of people go for the exotic even before they build a solid foundation.
Like Jim Rohn said, "For things to change, you must change. For things to get better, you must get better."
Trying to go for the quick cash is trying to go for the quick fix. It doesn't last.
You are pure inspiration.

Great words of wisdom. I had to be persistent and sconsistent for many years before I realized a profit in my business but now it's like a fountain that I could'nt shut off even if I wanted to and that is worth it!! I say stay tapped into the energy of your business of your teamates and use this energy to leverage your business. Network marketing is all about leverage but people forget to think of just all they can leverage. Like your upline, like your downline, bringing people together and you have a tottally different environment than before. If nothing else when you connect with other people you will be moved to do bigger and better things.
Always be reaching and learn how to leverage everything...

Hi Eric,
I agree with Lisa regarding personal websites and selling yourself first. People who come to you through your website already have a good idea of what your business involves and they may even feel as if they know you. It gives your business a personal touch. If you provide good information on your site about yourself and your business, your prospects will see that you have nothing to hide.

Hi Eric,
Welcome to the industry and the forum. The best advice that I can give to a newbie in MLM is to learn as much as you can and get some training to develop the skills you need to be successful.
Personal development, persistence, and dicsipline are all important things to have, but those personal attributes will only get you so far in business. You must have them to get started. But you must use those attributes to focus yourself in developing your skills.
I noticed you've been connected with Ann Sieg's Renegade. I was in one of her MLM organizations and she too stresses the importance of learning and applying.
Learn what?
Learn how to market. From setting a marketing budget, to identifying the purpose of your marketing, to identifying your target market, to generating leads and leading them through your sales process.
Good thing is, we have forums like this to help us along the way.
Always be coachable and a learn from others.
Best of luck to you!

Hi Eric...
Nice to have you here! Start the branding process now. Make sure you are using your picture so people will associate it with your name.
Participation in groups and forums is vital... as you are new, ask questions and get help in the beginning.
Seek out a coach or mentor who is able to help you!
Cheers!
Rex
