Hi Jon.  There's a wealth of information on this forum.  Some free ways to promote your program are blogging, writing articles, free ads on ezines or on classified sites.  I'm sure others here can add to the list.

Hi John

When I see your title, Single Dad Trying to Make it, it doesn't inspire alot of confidence. I don't mean to be negative, just the opposite. I would suggest you look at your mindset. Believing is essential in success. "Trying to make it" is not believing- its accepting failure. You need to be "single Dad making it " or "single Dad making it big" Two of my favorite books, that I would suggest, are Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and The Success Principles by Jack Canfield

John, hope this helps; Tom(TRCoach)

I agree completely with Tom.  Mindset is extremely important. He also references some excellent reading material and I would like to add one more, though I could list several.

The Slight Edge, by Jeff Olsen.

'Trying' won't get you there... believing and taking action will.

If you are trying to make it in Network Marketing John, or MLM, one great idea is to read the book Success in 10 Steps. It will tell you what to look for in a company and what to watch out for. We have been "trying" for years to keep my hubby home and not have to work outside the home, it has been a struggle!
The book just really helped straighten us out and get us on the right track. It is written by Michael Dlouhy and we have actally became good friends with him. He has been in this biz for over 28 years and knows his stuff. We have joined his efforts in order to teach others about it, but so you know we don't make money off of it. It is a free book and so is any training you may want after you read it. I know there are a lot of people in this programming helping others and they are a great bunch to know!
So that is my suggestion to you is to read the book. :D
