Once you get the hang of article marketing, it can get you listed on the first page of google in about three weeks.
I do read alot of plr articles, but only to get ideas. I write all of my own arricles because the search engines look for original content. Your articles should be written around the proper keyword phrases and have a keyword density of 1.5 to 2.0. Also, keep them no longer than 300 to 400 words so they will be read.
I use http://www.keywordtopia.com/, http://www.adwords.google.com and http://www.bestjeuwords.com to research my jeywords. I then do a google search to find keyword phrases with 10,000 to 20,000 searches.
I then do another google search for the keyword phrase I have chosen. I read other articles to get ideas and write a fresh and original article from scratch.
I know they are getting searched and hit, but the competition is not so huge that my article will never be seen.
I then submit my articles using http://www.isnare,com and Article submitter Pro.
It is alot of work to set everything up correctly and to find good keywords. but what if your articles are on the first page of google and dozens of people read your resource box and clikc on your link?
Any thoughts or questions?
Jon

Hi Jon,
I have a question about the keyword density what means 1.5 to 2.0, is that keywords per paragraph?
The keywords are they about your site or about the article you write.
I have a lot of articles but in Google they are mentioned for example within ideamarketers as the site where I put my article.
The thought is great what you write, and I also have the same opinion that article writing is a good way to get noticed and be within the first pages or the first at Google.
What do you think about GoodKeywords? This is what I use most of the time.
Great post
Have a nice day

Hi Jon,
Good post. Are you getting the results you want. I have started targeting keywords getting as low as 50 searches a month. I have quit writing for density and now write around a keyword phrase in the title, intro, and closing. I try to get natural variations throughout the body.
I am on page one of Google for several hundred keyword phrases including major ones and now I combine article marketing, blogging, and social marketing to get on even more in as little as 1-2 days.

Iuse http://www.goodkeywords.com , http://www.adwords.google.com and http://www.clickadequalizer to research my keywords.
I then use http://www.dupefreepro.com to check my keyword density.

I choose "bottom feeding" keywords or keyword phrases, that get enough searches to be found but not so many that my articles will not be found in a search. I use http://adwords.google.com and http://www.goodkeywords.com to research my keywords and keyword phrases. It is important that your keywords and keyword phrases be closely related to what network marketers and internet maketers (or your soecfici target audience) search for. Make sure you know what information they are looking for. You can use http://www.dupefreepro.com to calculate your keyword density. Jon

Article Marketing can be very profitable if done effectively. I see a lot of people asking how they can make money with article marketing. Many people just need to change a few things that would make a big difference in their results. I have recently come across some great resources of information that has helped many entrepreneurs go from failing to being extremely successful with article marketing. I want to pass some of these tips along to you.
Implement these 4 simple ways to flood traffic to your website.
1st. Keyword research. This is greatly overlooked by most people. It is extremely important to search for keywords that are highly searched but not too much competition. If you pick highly competive keywords you may never get shown. Don't just shoot a target market blindfolded. Make sure that the key word is very relevant to the topic. Http://Tools.seobook.com/keyword-tools/seobook is a good free place to search keywords.
2nd. Unique Content. This is so important. You don't want to use premade articles and blast it in all the article directories. If you do choose to use premade articles, change then some so that they are uniquely yours. The search engines are looking for unique, fresh content and they will reward you for having quality articles. Your articles should be informative, not salesy.
If Your article generates interest, people will pass it on to their discussion groups, newsletters and websites. Your article can spread like W-I-L-D F-I-R-E.
3rd. What is so important about the title? Well one thing is the Keyword. The keyword should be in the first 4 words of the title. This is very important for the search engines to pick up your article and give you better chances of making your article seen
Also you only have a few seconds to grab your readers attention. You title needs to reach out and grab your readers. Make it interesting and attention getting. Fill it with benefits.
4th. Many people neglect what they put in the signature box. The signature box is most important in connecting your visitors to you. You can have the best article in the world but if your signature box is boring you will lose them.
Make sure your link includes http:// in it. In many cases it won't be linkable. This happens more then you think.
IMPORTANT...People DON'T put a period at the end of your url. This will go to a bad link. Bad idea. Also Make sure you link is relevant to your article. You don't want to have an article about dresses and lead them to a swim ware website.
Well there you have it. By focusing on these few things, (Keyword research, the title, content and signature box), you will make a huge difference with your results in article marketing. I have just barely scratched the surface but this is a start. Article marketing is very valuable internet strategy. Stay consistent, keep writing and enjoy your success.

| Can you tell me a good resource for writing good copy? How do you research a topic before you write on it? How do you decide on a topic?

Hello, three people that come to my mind first for good copy-writing are Joe Vitale Dan Kennedy and Mark Joyner. Joe Vitale has a book called Hypnotic writing that is excellent and Mark Joyner has a book called The Irresistible Offer that is great. Dan Kennedy has a wide range of incredible resources for copy-writing.
As far as what topic to write about, notice in these types of forums what people are asking about. Most of the people here are entrepreneurs trying to build a business and are facing many of the same challenges and obstacles. Some are people looking for a home based business and are searching for answers. What are common questions they are asking? Another example of a topic that people would want to hear is what things have you done that has helped your business?
When I mentioned researching in my post on article marketing I was referring to choose the right keywords that will increase your change of getting the search engines to show your article as people search for that particular keyword.

| Maria, i do appreciate the response to my question. You gave me a good game plan to map out. I have heard of Joe Vitale, even seen some artilces of his, i believe. My intent is to dive in, read, absorb, etc. in this forum, and learn from you veterans. I'm not new to MLM, or to selling, but i am new to doing it Online. Once again, thank you.

Hey. Thanks for the great advice. It is all about grabing the reader with that title, and adding the keywords within the title. Some said you can have the best content in the world, but if your title is not grabing, it will be trashed. Thanks again.

Aboutus.org made a wiki page for one of my websites, not an MLM or affiliate marketing site, rather, for a web site marketing service/directory, and I have to admit I was sceptical at first, but it is working for my web traffic.
Anyway, I am taking the article and crawling it through the internet to get more to see it. My traffic is increasing and exposure.
Aboutus.org is also affiliated with wiki and whois. I like it. Write me if you have any questions on who did my article. She did a great job!

Great posts and information here... Thanks for sharing.
I wanted to ask what kind of 'Keyword Density' people are having best results with?
I've found that 3-4% on a 500-700 word article will get me pretty good rankings with google, but I'm not sure if that is optimal or not. I've been ranked #1 on Google for a 'low competition' key phrase, but other times I'm not even on the first few pages...
Any thoughts?

Franco mentions bookmarking your blog posts, articles, etc. at Propeller and Digg. There really is no way to get indexed faster with Google than to do this. Google will pick you up in minutes, even seconds sometimes. And these are quality backlinks.
I would recommend though that you spread these submissions around. There are a lot of these social bookmarking sites out there. You can join as many as you want, and then pick a couple for each submission. If you send everything to just one or two of them, it can start to look obvious that you're just linking to your own stuff.
Also, it's a good idea to bookmark pages you like, which have no links to your business pages at all. It makes your bookmarking activity look more natural.
If you want to see a list of the bookmarking sites out there and if you want an easy and effective way to make your submissions, check out socialmarker.com. It's free, and it's easy to use after you do it once or twice.
Best,
Dave

Hey there, I was just wondering. Shouldnt we be focusing on making backlinks to connect to our blog and not the other way round?
Or is it a suggestion that we interlink the both of them? Blog posts linking to our articles and our articles linking back to our blogs?
I got to say it's really a good advice to do a keyword research before starting our articles, but I was also wondering if it's similar to doing a keyword research to driving traffic to our webpages?
Thanks for the great advice, I'll be working on driving traffic to read my articles then to my blog hopefully! =)

I would say you want to focus on making backlinks to your blog. If you write an article and link to your blog, that's a backlink. If you submit a blogpost to a social bookmarking site, that's a backlink, too.
From my own knowledge and experience, I would recommend against linking from your blog to your article and then back again. That's a little too obvious. The link should be directed toward whichever of the two you consider the primary ranking vehicle, which for me is the blog.
Maybe someone else sees this differently.
Best,
Dave

I too use aboutus.org for my article marketing, it really helps to get traffic to my site...
All you have to do is just write an article pertaining to some aspect of your business, just not in a promotional way...

Aboutus is good for several reasons.
It is good for the reasons you have stated, but it is also good because it is a site with good PR and authority that is providing an external site to you. It can also help get a new site indexed faster.
Everyone should be taking advantage of this resource. In fact, I think I may need to do a post about this.

There are many people who dread having to write papers or articles. Many just feel like it seems to be too much work and it all just goes to waste when no one reads the. To some people, reading articles seems like work to, especially if the article is boring and very bland. Well, articles are supposed to be read, that’s their purpose to impart your message and information. If it is not read then it is a waste of time and effort.
But all the same, articles have to be written to be read. It’s just a matter of making them good. Making a good article doesn’t have to be strenuous and straining. There are just some points needed to be reminded of, and some guides to follow. Once you get the hang of it, writing articles could be fun, as well as profitable for you and your site.
Of course, writing articles must be about something you know about, that’s why if you own a site, you probably is knowledgeable about that certain topic and theme. When you write about it, you won’t have a hard time because you already know what it is and what it’s about. It’s just a matter of making your articles creative and interesting.
To make sure that your articles get read and enjoyed, here are six red hot tips to get your articles read. These tips will make your articles readable and interesting.
1) Use short paragraphs. When the paragraph are very long, the words get jumbled in the mind of the reader just looking at it It can get quite confusing and too much of a hard work to read. The reader will just quickly disregard the paragraph and move on to much easier reading articles that are good to look at as well as read. Paragraphs can be a single sentence, sometimes even a single word!
2) Make use of numbers or bullets. As each point is stressed out, numbers and bullets can quickly make the point easy to remember and digest. As each point, tip, guide or method is started with a bullet or point, readers will know that this is where the tips start and getting stressed. Format you bullets and numbers with indentations so that your4 article won’t look like a single block of square paragraphs. Add a little bit of flair and pizzazz to your articles shape.
3) Use Sub-headings to sub-divide your paragraphs in the page. Doing this will break each point into sections but still would be incorporated into one whole article. It would also be easy for the reader to move on from one point to another; the transition would be smooth and easy. You will never lose your readers attention as well as the point and direction to where the article is pointing.
4) Provide a good attention-grabbing title or header. If your title can entice a person’s curiosity you’re already halfway in getting a person to read your article. Use statements and questions that utilize keywords that people are looking for. Provide titles or headers that describe your articles content but should also be short and concise.
Use titles like, “Tips on making her want you more”, or “How to make her swoon and blush” .You could also use titles that can command people, for example, “Make her yours in six easy Ways”. These types of titles reach out to a persons’ emotions and makes them interested.
5) Keep them interested from the start to the finish. From your opening paragraph, use real life situations that can be adopted by the reader. Use good descriptions and metaphors to drive in your point, just don’t over do it. Driving your examples with graphic metaphors and similes would make it easy for them to imagine what you are talking about. Making the experience pleasurable and enjoyable for them.
6) Utilize figures when necessary and not just ordinary and insipid statements. Using specific facts and figures can heighten your article because it makes it authoritative. But do not make it too formal, it should be light and easy in them and flow. Like a friendly teac her having a little chat with an eager student.
