Another technique for submitting to a variety of article sites is to use the FireFox browser. Place the various URLs in groups of, say, 10 in bookmarks, and then open them all at once using the "Open All in Tabs" at the bottom of the group. Then as each are finished just logout and close the browser window.
This technique is for people who may not have the funds to buy submission software, or if they have a small number of sites that the regularly submit to and prefer manual submission.
Also, this technique can be used for ANY multiple site actions.

Michael,
I've read many of your entries here and you seem to have a wealth of knowledge about article marketing. This is a very new world for me...I'm wondering if you could point me to a good resource to get a definition of how it works... and how to get into it.
Our site HomeBusinessFrontiers.com is relatively new, but we're making efforts to generate high quality traffic to the site...and we're starting to make headway.
Any assistance you could give would be greatly appreciated.

When doing article submission, there are 4 main components of a submitted article.
First is the title. You're going to want a couple of keywords in your title. Don't spend a lot of time researching these but just try and pick ones that seem like they could get a little traffic. Most importantly, pick titles that will tie into what you have for the content of the article. You want to keep it targeted.
Next is the Author portion when submitting. Most sites will allow you to submit articles under different names. I use this all the time as it gives me more latitude to write something meaningful in the author description.
Third we have the content. Write a good 425-500 word article. It doesn't have to be award winning writing but it does need to be thought out logically. One thing to remember is to write naturally. Nothing is worse than seeing a article that looks like it was written by a robot.
Last we have the author bio. In this section you'll want to try and get 3 links to your site. Some article directories are more strict and won't let you have that many but when possible use three.

Yesterday I spent several hours writing my very first article and another couple of hours posting it to various sites.
To my amazement this morning I had a response from ezinearticles and not only had my first article already been aproved, but I had also been given Expert Author status!
I was always quite good at writing reports and research papers in college, I had mastered the art of A-papers in under 3 hours. Maybe I can translate that skill into extra traffic and revenue for RichTank.com!

I'm starting to write articles and would like to know the best places to submit them for the greatest response to visiting my website and greatest exposure with the least effort.
I have the software Ad Submitter to submit to multiple locations but there is a huge list and I just want to pare it down to be the most effective for my time invested into the submition process.
Any advice and assistance is welcome.

I have been using article submission software for sometime now. It is a great way to copy and pate your articles once and submite it to hundreds of directories with the push of a button.
One key point to remember is that if the search engines see the same (exact information) on various site they will deem it repetitive and not fresh and this could hinder you if your goal is to get listed in the searche engines. However if it is exposure that you desire than this is a great tool and you can get a free version of one article submission software here.

Hint for Getting Maximum Exposure For Each Article
I have done many articles one goood suggestion is if you are submiting the same article to a lot of article directories you need to change up the title of your article and tweek the content. Why I have found google will not display the same title or article repeatedly, but if you change the title you will find your articles will get more exposure.
Also you will be able to test different titles and see which ones show up on a search.

| ezinearticle.com is a very good place to place your articles. I would highly suggest you start their. If you want to submit to other this will increase your exposure and bring more visitors to your site. as mentioned before make sure you tweek the article and change the titles so this will also help you get more visits to your site.

To get you started I suggest first reading through all the threads in the Article marketing board here.
Then....I recommend looking over all the resources and info available at http://ezinearticles.com . That's also the directory I suggest using as your main submission site. Very good record and support. Chris (the owner) is a wealth of knowledge.

I have got good placement for my main site for its keywords just need a place to start, most of the places I have gone to won't list to being a new directory.
