there is another site called need-an-article.com which is low cost...$9/month and like $5 per 500 word article...and the articles they write are pretty good.

Hey John,
You could go to Guru.com too.
I think there is no magic pill to actually find a good ghostwriter.
You will have to test and evaluate which one will be more suited
to work with you long term either on part time or full-time.
Most of the time, you will be expecting to get good ones
if you decide to pay a fair price for it. There are serious individuals
which are more creative out there and do be wary of those
who cheat you of original content by running a certain software
to churn out articles.

Thanks for sharing. I also got some good feedback for my fellow IM freind.
Guess what? My past experience with Rentacoder.com was that, I got a very lousy writter. In the end, I spent much time editing the articles myself.

Well, I like to write articles for myself as
of this moment because it gives me the
control to do so.
Then, when I feel like it's an article or
topic I'm able to write but don't want to
spend more than a few hours working on
churning out like 5 articles I'll just outsource it.
We have to be in the know about what our
articles should look like and also how the
content will turn out to be in order to get
good readership.

I prefer writing content myself for people and their websites but I like to consider myself a professional in this field. I can write on any topic and produce dozens of articles a week with great SEO. I usually charge around $7.50 for a good 250 word article and basically 3 cents a word for longer ones.
The problem is people who read websites won't usually read more than 500 words so I don't like to go over that limit unless it's a detailed review.
Your biggest hurdle in this are writers and article producing companies that claim to be professional.
I've met clients who have paid as much as $75 for a 500 word article only to end up with something produced in a warehouse in India.
I now work with a few trusted individuals so if you need me, let me know.

If you are confident in your abilities to generate interesting, SEO oriented content, that is the best route.
I can't stress enough how horrible most bidding sites are. I'm talking about GetAFreelancer, eLance, and similar sites.
It's easy to find a single person or small team without having a third party site stealing money from both you and your content writer. Also, those sites are populated by idiots 90% of the time.
If anyone has ever contracted a writer, gotten 10 articles that were obviously written by a baboon, and been hassled for payment for weeks over them, you know what I mean. You have to dig deep and find someone who complements your own personality and style and can do their best to emulate that on your blogs and websites. Naturally, if you run a website about feminine products, a male writer might not be the best choice.
Look hard and you will find something good.

Some people really struggle with finding their own voice. Also if your wanting a good article sometimes research can be very time consuming. For the literary challenged and time deficient I say go for it. Hire it out. When i stuggle with content I may buy and article and then tweak it to give it my own voice. Big time saver.

I agree with both ends of your question. Robert does state to hire people to do work for you, however, if you really want people to get to know you personally and to trust you, it's better to write on your own. You are a journalist, it should be a piece of cake for you. When I am reading someones blog, I like to see their own thoughts, even if there are grammatical errors. I would never join business with someone I don't trust. That's just me.

| Personally I prefer writing content myself. Once I have researched what I want to write about, I have it down so that I can write an article in about 20 minutes or so. I prefer writing myself since it takes me about that long just to tell a ghost writer what to write about and to edit his materiel.

I regularly use guru.com they have a good way to search and also a way to speak to the writer through them. I have attached myself to one writer in particular and asked for examples of her work in advance which she was happy to give.
Their payment system is a bit cumbersome but they do the paperwork so that is a nice feature.

I'm definately considering a article ghost writer because it's just time consuming and I could be spending time over other ways of generating more traffic to my website.
So I recommend going to Google and doing some research of ghost writers for articles.
Get ghost writers and submit them thru article submitters. Totally automatic.
