Articles are a great way to market. I really love them because I can spend a few hours and create a couple of articles and get them up on the web and they send back traffic to my site for maybe a couple+ years. And the best thing about them is that they are free.
I like to look at them as a little employee. I find that if I pick the right person (keyword) and really work with them (write it wll and create good backlinks) I will get results from this employee for years. And the best thing is that they never quite. I just might need to work with them again from time to time.

Hi,
Agree with all the positive stuff on article marketing. I find EzineArticles.com pulls more clicks then any of the other by a mile. Goarticles.com and ArticlesBase are the next two, for me anyhow.
I'd also recommend avoiding starting your last paragraph with words and phrases like 'finally' and 'in conclusion', because they suggest that there is nothing more to say - ie not worth reading the resource box. Not what you want!
What is also a good idea is to use your primary keyword in the hyperlink inside the resource box, which gives more authority to your article on that subject.
To use my own as an example, if you'll forgive me (after all you don't have to click on it!) if I was writing an article on 'online MLM prospecting', and wanting to bring visitors to this particular capture page, I would include that keyword in the resource box with the following code:
<a href="http://Gold.MLM-Prospecting-Online.com">online mlm prospecting</a>

| Good articles do several things. They can point links to your website, which is great for SEO. They can get picked up and linked to by other sites and this can build visibility and traffic. They can also generate leads either by themselves of by getting people to your website.

I have been useing article marketing and submitting them myself my budget at the time will not let me by a program. I do get 10 to 20 hits on my site, and I can see my downline growing! But I also drop lots of Business cards off were ever I shop. I didn't know if its was the articles or the business cards until I went back and look at the number of people that read my article. Business cards get thrown away and article stay in cyber world!!

| I like your concept of "little employees". You are absolutely right. A good keyword focused article can stay in circulations for years. And the more it is read, the more exposure it gets by the SE's and the more it will be read by others. A one time investment of 30-40 minutes gets you years of exposure.

Absolutely! Article is by far one of the best way to get traffic to your site. Ezine Article is one of the best. Make sure do not submit duplicate content as it will help you. I always use article marketing and it has generate tons of leads.

Every thing I have read from those that had success have used either targeted articles or the bulk distribution sites and have article marketing as one of their top ways to drive traffic.

I found article marketing to be one of the best ways to generate quality traffic. Helped me learn alot about SEO as well. If you take some time and hit your niche keywords google will love you for it.

Yes Article Marketing is a fantastic way to generate leads provided that you write articles constantly and that you do them in a certain way.
Here are some basic guidelines that I like to stick to
1. Write a compelling headline that is curiosity driven or emotionally impactfull or both
2. Keep the article body between 300-375 words
3. At the end of the article make sure to direct the reader to read and follow the directions in your resource box
4. In the resource box offer them a free report of some kind and either give them a link to your capture page or have them send an e-mail to your autoresponder address.
So the plan of action is to write 2 good articles a day pertaining to your niche and submit them to 5 article directories and do this consistently for about 30 days and you'll start seeing 15-20 leads join your list every single day...
It takes hard work but if your consistent you can achieve it
