Hi Everyone,

I am just getting involved with Internet Network Marketing and I hear alot of good things about Article Marketing.  I haven't used any yet and I have alot of valuable and useful information.  I primarily have been growing my business with pay-per clicks and other sources.

Should I create a seperate website to send my prospects from "article marketing" or continue to send them to my lead capture page for my business?  I have heard of sitebuildit.com and I also have some colleagues who will create a page for me.  What do you think is the best way to approach this?

Thank you and much success to all,

Matt

Either is fine Matt.  All you're really doing is passive marketing a website which is related to the topic/subject/ of your article....and creating back links to that website thru viral distribution of your article....by including it in your author bio box.

If your lead capture page is a unique domain url you can continue to use that.  If not...then yes you need a unique website with associated domain name.

The back link link potential from viral distribution of your article won't work with a "replicated" non-unique company provided capture page.   Only with a unique url and domain name.  The SE spiders like the latter and dislike the former.

Hope that helps.

God Bless,

Michael

Matt, I agree with Michael.  You will need a seperate unique domain name for your lead capture page to get the backlinking to work correctly.  Using a lead capture page will work if it sends pople to sign up for an opt-in list.  I have build a large opt in list using articles.  Make sure you write original articles that are keyword optimized.  A good tool that will help you with htis is http://www.dupefreepro.com Jon

The more you do this you will start linking back to more than a landing page or home page. Your blog home page is good. So are inner pages as they relate to the article.

Even blog post pages, with your affiliate or network marketing links in them, are a good way to get your links in where an article directory will not let you use a replicated website url in the resource box of your article.

The more links you have the higher your page rank.  One caveat, though, your links must be relevant.  I have definitely found that writing and submitting original keyword articles is one of the best ways to generate consistent traffic, but more importantly sign ups and people calling me to ask what I do and about my primary business.

I currently have tyhree blogs and a Squidoo lens that I post to three to sseven times a weeek.  I have links on each to my published articles.  I use http://www.feedburner.com to have my blogs automatically pinged each time I publish a new post.  It is a "small blog farm" at this pont.  A woman I know has 22 blogs and submits five articles a week.  She is very visible on the internet.

I'd like to see a picture of her today and then flash forward 3 years. :) I once wrote 23 articles of more than 400 words in one day and I do not recommend it to anyone.

That brings up a good point, Jeff......better to go for Quality or Quantity?  Is your answer different for the beginner vs. the "pro"?

Blessings...

I was writing for customers the day I wrote that many.

Personally I like too write 2 good articles a week and submit them via SubmitYourArticle.com using their Article Leverage program to creat unique versions.

Then I try and write several articles a week for my blog and social bookmark my posts via OnlyWire.com, Digg, Netscape, and a couple of others. This gives me good coverage in article directories, social directories, and the search engines are picking them up as well.

Thanks for the info....I'm just starting with article promotion so I want to learn as much as possible.  I'm trying to keep my monthly costs down, so I'll be using InstantArticleSubmitter for the time being (they have an ArticleCreator module that's a big help as well).  I'll use your post info as a guidleine...

Thanks again...

Blessings

Quantity vs quality? should never be a question we ask when writing and submitting articles Two good keyword optimized articles submitted to a few hig page rank directorioes and sites will get a better page rank then submitting aozens or hundreds of articles that are poorly written and not optimized.

I once saw a site where a user posted 400 private label righs articles and got banned.

You can incrase the effectiveness of your article marketing by posting your artuicles on a blog and Squidoo lens.  They will stay indexed for years.

You can also set up a seperate Squidoo lens for a longtail keyword phrase and then a blog for that theme or phrase as well.  The challenge is to make sure you post original content at least twice a week so that they will get indexed.

I started using http://www.nichebot.com to research and find longtail keywords with low or no competition.  I then write three original articles that are optimized for each keyword phrase.

As soon as the article is done, I post it on my main blog and the niche blog and niche Squidoo lens.  I will keep ypu informed as to how this affects the page rankings.

Jon

Article submission is a great way to get listed on the Search Engines and it also sets you apart from many other people in the Networking business because you are actually offering advice on something.  Trying to write your own articles can be a daunting task especially if you are working a full time job during the day.  A good resource where you can have people write articles for you would be elance.com.  You can find people who know how to write much better than you and I ever could for low cost.  This way you can submit articles about the information you want but not spend all your time working on them.  This is definately a part of your business you should outsource.

Getting people to your Lead Capture Page is the best way.  This way you can capture their information and contiinue to send them more information over a long period of time.  I do not believe there is any need to send them anywhere else.
