Everyone who has a product or service to sell on the internet uses network marketing to draw visitors to their site. In order to be recognized by search engines, there needs to be information on the site relevant to the product or service being offered. There are also needs to be links from relevant sites leading visitors to the site for search engines to recognize it as a viable business and one that visitors will not be disappointed when they are directed there.
Articles relevant to the site in ezines or newsletters are one of the quickest methods of obtaining new visitors as well as having links back to the site. While many people either write their own articles, or have a ghostwriter to prepare them, having them published can be a tough part of the job. There are several sites that accept article submissions for free distribution.
Using article submissions to improve the number of quality links back to the site can improve the standings with the search engines. This type of submission service can play a major role in a network marketing plan and can improve the site’s standing, especially in an mlm network marketing environment. With multilevel marketing, there may be numerous sites replicated from the original and in a global environment, having visitors directed to one specific site can be tricky, at best.
Article submissions with the articles containing links back to one specific site will help attract traffic as well as improve rankings on searches. However, simply submitting a few articles is not going to keep the site at the top. One other aspect of a site the search engines look at is how new and updated is the information available. Most experts recommend adding fresh content frequently, not less than once a month, in order to maintain the interest of the search engines as well as a higher ranging on the results pages.

Hey Lawren,
That's a great way of putting it. Another thing that search engines look at in order to index a site in their search results are KEYWORDS. It's important that within articles/press releases, the relevant keywords are used naturally and often.
It's also important to not use the keywords uneccesarily, because search engines such as Google are getting smarter and smarter. If they think the keywords are just being spammed throughout the article, and not used in a natural, conversational manner, it probably wont get indexed for the search results.
And another tip: use the keywords as the actual anchor texts. In other words, if the keyword you're using and writing about in your article is "network marketing", then have your link within the keyword "network marketing". Google loves this, and it will greatly improve your chances of getting high rankings in search results.

Great Info!
I'd further like to ad that when you are selecting your keywords, you should list them as individual words as well as phrases. For example, if you want to use "network marketing" as a keyword phrase, you should also try "network" and "marketing". That way when you are writing your article, you can have a more conversational style to your writing while hitting all of your keywords.

Promoting are a product/service using article could be very rewarding. I recently spoke to a well established internet marketer who does affiliate marketing using 100% article marketing only. May be I share it here today.
Some of her inputs were...
1. Find a good and niche product/service which has affiliate program.
2. Do some research on the topic of the product. For example: if you have a ebook about losing weight using herbs, then do some research about herbs and their benefits.
3. Gather the info, and write 3 to 4 article on different area but still relating to the same product/ebook. Make sure the author signature has the affiliate link which will direct the readers to the affiliate page. If the article directory does not allow this, you need to have your own website page which will further give some more information and then direct the readers to the affiliate page.
4. Summit the article to at least 10 top article directory everyday one. In three to four days, you would have finished submiting all the articles.
5. Wait, sales might be slow. But it is zero cost, and you could do this at your own free time if you want to try out.
I believe this could be used to do MLM business too since many MLM program nowdays uses internet asa medium to recruit members.

However, you can get to know a whole lot of people who are interested in your home business by writing good articles and getting a good percentage of them to join your newsletter. Once done, introduce yourself, build relationship by offering better quality information, then ask them what they need in order to for you to meet those needs. Once their needs is identified, you can go on to provide for that need by offering products in your home business that meets those needs.

If anyone asks you that question, what would your answer be? Well as an experienced article marketer, if you ask me whether article marketing works for downline building, I guess my answer is a resounding Yes!
You see from my own experience, I have discovered that the most responsive and profitable leads you will ever get is that from articles. I get up to 10 people to buy my products from every 100 subscriptions I get from my articles.
Do you know that article leads are responsive because they got into your subscription because they found you, they read your articles and without compulsion that advertising does, they willingly decides to check you out simply because they love your style of writing.
All the leads you get via articles are willing to learn from you. You have already built a credibility in the minds of your articles and they see you as an expert and that is why you get the best leads via articles. When you compare other means of generating quality both free and paid leads, article marketing beats them all hands down in being responsive.
Moreover, articles continue to bring in quality traffic to your web business as long as those articles are online. Advertising on the other hand, stops as soon a your budget is up.
Besides, advertising coerces people to patronize a product. Advertising have hypes and plays on people's psychology and from my experience, I get about 5% response from adverts, while my free traffic generation strategy which is article marketing gives me 10%. I'm not in any way condemning advertising, if you have a deep pocket and do not have the time to write articles, I guess the way to go is through advertising as this also have its own place in every business.
However, whether you have a deep pocket or not, you should let article marketing be one of the traffic generation strategies you use in your network marketing business.
