I have a marketing tool that I've been using with Isagenix (cover/recoup advertising costs, leverage a bit more time, pre-sell the Isagenix opportunity, etc)...

I hope this idea works. It looks like a good one, but it's a nice chunk of work and people could get lost trying to get it done. It does look effective though. Can it be made more user friendly?

Doug, which parts do you feel are a lot of work? With the exception of them having to setup their own download page, the rest should flow smoothly.
I have mixed feelings about making it too user friendly. Sounds ridiculous but it's a bit of the "give a man to fish vs teach a man to fish".
If my replicated system does everything for them, they really don't learn much in the process. Do I want to just give them a tool or give them real value?
If I teach them in the process how simple it is to upload a webpage, they might stop fearing new things and will expand their horizons... which also means they'll expand their "marketing arsenal" and that sets them up for success. Because it's not the weekly "support groups" in Bob's home every Monday night or the team rah-rah calls that will make them money.... it's knowledge and action about marketing.
Currently, after registering for a copy (sending in their payment), they do need to setup the other affiliations (which are each a 2-3 minute application) and there's no way around that.
With the current setup, they then simply email the affiliate links over and I get their branded report done. The report is then sent to them as an attachment.
At this stage they are ready to forward it to others as an attachment if they'd like (though not recommended) or can have it on a website. If it was a replicated page.. they'd be no better off than marketing any other replicated page. If it's a template website that they can modify, that allows for marketing creativity and provides them with bigger results. So the only step they have left is paying for a hosting service (these days less than $4 per month).
None the less I am looking to make some changes and will consider all the feedback. I will look to eliminate some of this technical work but in trade will want to have optional trainings to show them how they could have done it on their own as I'd rather they learn and feel empowered.

My concern was mostly about the technical aspects. After getting through more of it, it really isn't that challenging, but some people will have issues I'm sure.
I am going to take a better look this evening also and go over the info you sent to me. I see this as a great tool that I know I can market. The biggest issue at the moment is actually the fact that the Isagenix Info Request forms are not working yet. I am waiting to hear back from support on this issue.

Doug,
I have a question for you (and maybe others can reply here).
I can set all the brandings up so that an Isagenix rep (and I'll run this by my downline as well) can brand their own copy of the report (which I want to make some updates/modifications to) with their Isagenix info right from the website. Setting up the optional webpage will have a video walkthrough but will still be left with the rep.
But the point is, users would be able to go to http://www.BuildingANetwork.com, simply download the brandable version of "Dear Employee Your Job Sucks" which I would post on the page and quickly download a small piece of software (for free). They run the software (full videos for this as well but it's really easy), enter their Isagenix id and the software does the rest. They then have their branded copy saved on their computer.
What I'm thinking of doing is making it free (in which case I would refund your purchase and all the other recent Isagenix branding purchases). Of course to cover my costs (webpage design, branding software costs, graphic design costs, bandwidth etc) I would have the RichJerk or some other affiliate product links with my own idea...
But, in short, its free for the Isagenix associate. It's simple and immediate (no sending emails and waiting for a copy). And instead my efforts and finances are covered with an affiliate sale that would be made every now and then.
This allows me to put all my focus back to network bulding, yet provides a branded copy immediately to the Isagenix rep.
What are your thoughts? I have a few things on my plate and couldn't get this all together for a week or so... but if I hear good feedback (from you, other readers on this board, from my Isagenix team and crossline on my mailing lists...) then I'll work towards this. So please let me know.
(And, again, if I do this I will refund your purchase minus PayPal transcation costs... so you'd get back just a little over $18 for the $20 you spent... BUT in trade you of course have a copy that's FULLY branded with all affiliate links having your codes).

If you could set up something that automates most of this process, it would help those who want to get on board, and it would save you a ton of time. You would reap the rewards with the growth of your downline.
I see a good tool here, if you had something that helped walk people through the process, it will be a bigger winner for you.

Currently the steps are
- Visit BuildingANetwork.com
- Purchase
- Register for instructions of how to obtain affiliate codes etc
- Complete the affiliate applications to have affiliate id
- Email affiliate id to me
- I run this all through the software which brands the report and I check the links
- I send back the branded copy
- The rep can then CHOOSE to setup an optional download page which has minimal instructions.

What I think I'll switch to is simply
- Visit the website
- quick download of brandable report
- quick download of branding software (full instructions for each but this is as simple as clicking a link)
- double click software from your computer to start it. Open brandable report. Enter Isagenix data (these are all straight forward... the only users who would have difficulties with this are the ones with minimal computing skills but it's up to them to take the initiative and find an evening course to learn more about a computer)
But, by eliminating the need for them to supply the affiliate codes, I cut out most of the steps and also can upload the software so the rep can create their own branded copy right there on the spot.
The uploading of the webpage, unfortunatley, will still be up to them. Unless I hire a programmer and create replicated pages (in which case, it wouldn't make sense for me to offer this for free)... otherwise, anyone can (if they choose to) take 20 minutes and get that a hosting account setup and the template webpage uploaded (that's what hosting account tech support is there for).
So maybe I'll work towards this. Anybody else on this forum have feedback?

I think the affiliates are a good thing and of course add to the income potential.
Maybe it isn't the steps involved, but something about the actual flow. I hate to be a pest, but I can't actually put my finger on the best answer right now. I think that replicated sites would help, but now you have an additional cost as you mentioned. I will take another look and see if I can actually come up with real suggestions for you. I know I mostly just gave you the issues without a fix, I'll see if I can come up with a fix.

I think I just realized one of my sticking points. One of the emails you sent says,

My issue is that I don't see any instructions at that page. I see a sign up form for the book, but no instructions on making it work for me. I do see that there are instructions in another email though, so I'm thinking that the wrong link was sent?

I apologize. That's a typo. I had been working on a dozen or so pages. I won't post the correct link here as that link should only be available to customers but I'll send it to you via email, forward it to the other customers and change it in the autoresponder.

To Rick (and anyone else with a similar confusion),
My downline associates are already aware of and/or are using the Dear Employee report as an additional tool (or primary tool if they are marketing online) for building Isagenix...
I posted the offer here to allow anyone involved in Isagenix to also purchase a branding (in fact, at a $17 discount... sorry guys, would love to just give everything for free but the branding software cost me, the graphic work cost me, the time into web design etc cost me... but it really is a nominal price).
To answer your question Rick (and I'll send this via email to you as well), yes you can certainly purchase a copy. I posted a page allowing 26 such copies to be sold. I'm pretty sure I'll stick to that offer (or may offer extras but will have them at the regular $37 one time price)...
