Wow! What a perfect and timeless topic. Most of us came to network marketing because we weren't satisfied with our results in life, so why would anyone think they can create long-term changes in their results without changing who they're being. After all, our best thinking got us to a place of being dissatisfied with our results in life. Example: a $30,000 a yr mindset and belief system will rapidly turn a million dollar opportunity into a $30,000 a yr opportunity. We can never outperform our self-image.
The answer: marry personal development products with an extremely lucrative compensation plan. Choose an opportunity for the income it produces and the by-product of the opportunity and its community is growing into a person who is ready for the wealth you create. Brilliant.
Yes, "The Secret" brought world-wide attention to the personal development industry/movement and the Law of Attraction, but it's been being used to create massive results for some people in the Network Marketing/Direct Sales industry for more than 6 yrs now. Initially, in the US and Canada, and now Internationally. And it's available to EVERYONE.

Jeff, you are so right. People with the wrong mindset, preferabbly the E quadrant as Robert Kiyosaki puts it, will not produce the results that they claim they want. I was talking to a lady today about wealth principles and personal development, and she said," Can you share your wealth with me"?
I said,"No, but I can SHOW YOU how to get it. She said," Oh no, It is too hard." That phrase "Its too hard" is such a misconception about creating wealth. The same work ethic people put into their JOBS(Just Over Broke)... they can put in 3-5 yrs creating wealth. But people, as you said jeff, with a 30,000 a yr mindset will turn a million dollar opportunity into their mindset.
That cannot possibly happen. Either they change their mindset, and set their goals high, or they stay where they are. People remind me of conditional bulls. If you know someone who owns a farm with bulls, they may have barb wire circuling the habitat of the animals.
Some bulls try to escape, but they run into the wires, and they cut themselves. The next day they try to escape, and they run into the wires again, and the third day they did the same thing, and the forth. Then on the 5th, the farmer removed the wires from their habitat.
The bulls come to wire the wires USE to be, but they do not go beyond that, because they have been conditioned to the point where if they try to go beyond that point, something will happen to them. That is how humans are.
When a million dollar opportunity comes their way, they are conditioned not to believe it, and then they say," It is too good to be true". That cannot be further from the truth
