I found this good article. For those who didnt get the results they wanted after watching THE SECRET read this here.
I’ve watched the movie, The Secret, many times. I loved the concepts that I learned and thought that they illustrated difficult points very well.
However, I used the techniques in The Secret with a great deal of dedication, and I didn’t see the results that had hoped for. At first, I doubted that the principles of the Secret would work, or maybe, I thought, they just didn’t work for me.
The Law of Attraction works. I know that it does. On occasion, I’ve used it. But I did not seem able to use it in my life everyday.
After I’d abandoned my efforts to use the Law of Attraction, I came upon a teacher who helped me understand the principles of The Secret at a much deeper level.
When I started to follow his advice, I found that I stopped living in dream land, and started to make real, solid progress in my life using the Law of Attraction.
Here are several things that I learned that started me in the right direction:
Tip #1 for People Disappointed in The Secret: When Using the Law of Attraction, Pick Things To Manifest that Are Really Important to You – This is key. The Law of Attraction works on many deep levels and it is inextricable entwined with the principle of following your bliss.
At the most basic level, each of us is designed to use the talents and abilities that we were born with. If we’re not tapping in to those gifts, then we’re really missing the boat. We’re literally ignoring our deepest desire.
When we hone in on this, we’re finally working with the Law of Attraction. Don’t treat the Law of Attraction as a convenience store where you can just pick things at random that you want. Use it to manifest that which is close to your heart and then, you can’t help but succeed.
Tip #2 for People Disappointed in The Secret: Make A Plan and Follow It – In doing a great deal of work in the Law of Attraction realm, it is easy to get a bit bandied about by the whims of what you’re feeling. Working with our feelings and focusing on our desires is great, and it will help us to make progress.
However, it is really easy is to flit from one interest to another. That’s why making a solid plan and following it is so valuable. Don’t be rigid, but at the same time, keep yourself on track. I’d advise you to do something everyday on your plan. Then, you’ll find yourself moving the right direction.
Tip #3 for People Disappointed in The Secret: Focus – In this context, focus means to let go of everyday distractions and make manifesting the life you love your priority. I used to think that I did this well. But when I actually became committed to living the life of my dreams, I stopped watching television. I didn’t need as much “veg out” time. I re-arranged my life to make sure that I took action on my living my dreams project every single day.
I gave up the drama of trying to make progress. Instead, I simply began to take action. After several weeks of this, the drama melted away and I found myself a great deal more focused and efficient. Then, I was open to receiving much more since my focus and intention was really on creating a fabulous life.
These three tips should provide a good place to begin using the Law of Attraction. But I would advise anyone who really wants to master the use of the Law of Attraction to get expert help throughout the process.

Great article, I really enjoyed it. Another way I found to make the secret a little more manageable was using a few tequnics taught by Paul Mckenna. After doing some of his meditations I really found my stride and my actions had a lot more direction.
Good luck with your journey

I want to add to Tip #2 of Making a Plan and following it. Consider spending the time and really mapping our your quest. You may want to start with your grand plan, the ultimate picture of your life. What does it look like? How are you living? Then you need to break this down into manageable goals. What are the goals that will create this ultimate lifestyle?
Once you have your goals, next you need to figure out what actions do you need to take to reach these goals? Do you need to learn something? Do you need to create something? Do you need to associate with the right people to make it happen? Create as detail of an action plan that you can. I like to think in terms of my next year. Then I break it down to monthly goals. Then I break it down to weekly goals.
Finally each evening I sit down and consider what do I need to accomplish the following day to get me to my weekly goal. This accomplishes many things on the conscious and subconscious level. First you know the target that you want to hit, it is attainable and in small chunks that are not overwhelming, the believability factor is working in your favor. Next, you have given thought to your next day's activity in the evening and that will allow your subconscious to get to work on that goal long before you have begun your day. Ideas will flow to you in a much more relaxed fashion.
Live your ultimate life a day at a time and enjoy the process. For women, it is like being pregnant and enjoying the pregnancy knowing that the birth of that child will be so fantastic!
