In my experience teaching your downline about the Law of Cause and Effect can be a great motivator.From a web marketing perspective, I would think discussing this concept n your blogs, Yahoo Answers, and video marketing may be effective.
I had one of those “ah-ha” moments when I first heard about this. Think about it—success in this business, IMO, can be distilled down to a simple principle: share your opportunity with enough people, and you will succeed.
I would appreciate your feedback and experiences with this concept.
The Law of Cause and Effect states everything happens for a reason. Your understanding and application of this law in your home business can make the difference between success and failure.
It’s hard to imagine, but at one time humans believed things happened due to luck or fate. Mysterious forces of nature and demagogues ruled the Earth, deciding who lived or died, and who became successful leaders of the community and who became the so-called village idiots.
Today we understand there are physical and psychological laws that govern how events in our lives arise in direct response to things we do or set into motion. For example, poor spending habits may lead to bankruptcy, while a sound investment strategy may lead to wealth. These events don’t just happen. They occur as a result of our actions, and are therefore within our control.
The Law of Cause and Effect is exciting because it can be used in your network marketing business to help you build an explosive and profitable organization.
For example, your upline mentors may tell you it takes contacting five prospects to get one to attend an opportunity meeting. And that for every three prospects who attend a meeting, one will sign up. Therefore, for every 15 prospects you contact, you can expect to get one sign-up.
Knowing this, you can now apply the Law of Cause and Effect. Success is staring you in the face. How big and how fast do you want to grow your network marketing business?
While the results may vary slightly based on your specific opportunity and prospect pool, the numbers will eventually fall into place in accordance with this law. Invite 15 qualified prospects to an opportunity meeting and you will sign up one new distributor.

I should add that technically speaking, how I am using the law of cause and effect is probably closer to what is known as The Law Of Averages.
I apply this principle to the law of cause and effect because I wnat to teach people in my organization that "action has consequences."
If we choose to do nothing, then nothing will happen. But, if we choose to take action, then we set the wheels in motion for results.
BTW, any MLM Forum user is free to use content from my original post anyway they like in other forums, blogs, etc. That's part of another law known as the Law of Giving and Receiving. Sounds like Law of Attraction stuff, but I've never gotten around to reading that book yet.

Lets be honest here. Your upline may give you the numbers to work with on the law of averages, but only you can do the work to improve your odds by working on yourself as well. Nobody wants to follow a follower.
Becoming the leader is a trait that some will have and some will need to work on having. Your upline's numbers may sound so simple, but the learning curve may change those statistics for the beginner. Upline support and training need to be factored into that initial stage.
So I have to agree with your statement that if you do nothing, nothing will happen. However, I like to be very straight forward in what the expectations should be and how they should plan to develop the skills in the quickest way possilbe.
