There is a right way and wrong way to use co-registrations. Co-Regs can be a great way to build a list fast, but you have be very careful about witch companies you work with, how you write your ads, etc.

One useful tip if you want to use co-regs to build a "warm list" is make sure there is no incentive for these people to give their info, other than to get more information. In other words, they are not being paid to give their info.

Maybe you never heard of "pipeline profits" Buck Rizivy and Brock (not sure of Brock's last name) these cats made a ton of money using go-reg leads, because they knew how to put it all together. Often large companies use co-regs to market to customers, it's all in how you structure your ad campaign.

I don't know if that helps anyone, but I just wanted to make it clear that co-registration can be highly profitable, if the campaigns are structured properly. The trick is to use email marketing to get the leads to visit your web site, and sign up for your newsletter, or free report, or white paper, or whatever lead generation tool you use.

The source of those "
leads" is often via something sometimes called "co-registration". Not a good thing if you want quality leads.

That is....folks who have signd up online for a freebie of some kind, a contest, a game, etc.

Not necessarily for "learning about a HBB" (home based business).

Also, many times they are "stolen" emails picked off the 'Net by email harvesting software.

None of these are the kind of
leads you really want. First, the odds are against you that they'll listen to what you want to share. Second, they'll probably ignore your contact if you can even get through (lots use false contact info), and third....many will likely accuse you of spam.

Make sure you have a good idea that any source of
leads you intend to use are legit opt in leads with a proven interest in more info.

Otherwise....you're shooting at flies in the dark.

God Bless,
Michael

Hi Tim,

Thats a great piece of advice. For one thing, I've definitely heard of Brock and his pipeline profits adventure. Surely, there must be something we can talk about regarding list brokers. Do you think this is a simple strategy to utilise?

Hi Vern,

I think it is simple, you just have to set up the marketing for it. I am thinking of calling some of the companies that sell co-reg's and ask them what works. (they may not tell me) but it would be worth a try. You want to make sure your ads can direct the leads to your lead capture pages, so you can get them in an aweber or other autoresponder service. Then your emails will get them to come back to your website, to either buy from you, or sign up in your MLM business, or whatever you want them to do.

Of course you want your ads and email marketing to show them how you can solve the problems they are having. This is the main thing people use the internet for, to scratch the itch they have. When you are a propblem solver, this is the way to get a ton of business.

"Co-reg's" you can build of list of 10,000 subscribers in one day. Just treat the list like gold. I treat all my newsletter subscribers like gold, and I do as much as I can to help them. So part of making it work is dependent on what you want to sell them.

I will keep researching this and let you know what I find out.

Real time leads are often the very best - the ones that a form is filled out and immediately sent to you by email.  Many times the leads that lead companies sell are sold so many times that the exclusivity is lost and you are in such competition that it can be hard to get the conversion you are looking for.

I have found that using a self-funded proposal really makes a big difference in my campaigns and conversions since the leads pay for themselves.

Good Luck.

I agree, funded proposal is the way to go. I wish I had thought of doing that 10 years ago when I first got in MLM. Never the less, what really works great is simply being a leader, and teaching people to do what you know works best. There is no one, method that works best for all, rather a combination of lead generation and follow up with your prospects that turns them into customers and business builders. Once you have a list, treat it like your most valuable commodity. My list is the most valuable business tool I have, I always treat the people on my lists like Gold, and treat them the way I like being treated.

I agree. No matter how good the lead is, it is up to you to build that relationship.  You have to build trust and without contact/communication (email, phone, direct mail, etc.), there is no relationship.

I appreciate the helpful and informative ideas presented.  However, I believe that the best way to generate leads in my opinion is on your own.  I know that some of you may not agree with me.  The reason I believe this is because you ultimately have more control of the leads.

Second, by getting your own leads you can be sure that they are always fresh leads.

Also, by getting your own leads, it does take more persistence and patience. I have to admit it does take hard work.  However, it is less expensive as well as it worth the effort.

Although, from time if you are recommended a leadsource by your upline that works for them, why not give it a try.

But be cautious because if the leadsource has a reputation for spam you could find yourself or worse your business with the reputation of being a spammer. This will hurt your credibility in your business.  This will only hurt you in the long run, which is not a road you want yourself or your downline to travel.

It sure does take more patience and persistance, butit is well worth it. I love knowing that when I get a new lead it was because of my extra efforts and taking the time needed to get that lead.

Hi,

Working leads requires a special minset, skills and persistence.

Have you worked leads before?

If you have not worked leads before, I would suggest you get some good training.  todd Falcone and Wendy Weiss have excellent websites and offer free teleclasses.

You can also find some good free training from cutting Edge Media and Networking University.

It is often helful to understand how the leads industry works.  About 90% of the leads I have worked over the last five years were not serious or coachable.  They were not who I would want to work with.  that is pretty typical.

If you get real time interviewed leads, call them as soon as you get the submission email and ask questions, interiew them.  find out if they have a problem you might be able to help thewm solve with your products or business opportunity.

I actually generate my own leads using the Pay It Forward 4 Profits system.  I know that of I post articles, post to forums, publish a blog and network at sites like Ryze, Direct Matches amd Fast Pitch I can find qualified prospects.

Hope this helps.

Jon

This thread has some great information in it.  I plan on taking from many of the posts particularly regarding lead generation and resources and see what I can make happen.

One thing I firmly believe in when working leads (and I agree with all comments that you are the critical factor vs. the quality of the lead)  is to make sure the prospect knows that they need to be interviewing me to see if this is a right fit as well.  Just as a real job interview you have to make sure this is a two sided agreeable relationship.  You can recruit tons of people into your business and still end up with very few active downline if you do not work towards this right fit.

Well, for better or worse I just purchased some "Real Time Surveyed" leads.  Anyone have success stories on the best way to proceed with these leads?

Thanks,

Kalvin

It is a huge numbers game.  When I worked leads, about 10% did anything.

I now use a generic funded sponsoring system and generate my own qualified leads.

I use adlandpro, but mostly network through the community

You can also get traffic at treffic exchanges, safelists, submitting articles and blogging.

Here are some resources I have found useful:
Traffic Swarm
Herculist
business World List
AdlandPro
Articlesender.com
Blogger.com
Forumdominator.com for fourm posts

I ping my blog daily using Feedburner.com.  Blogger uses an atom feed, but you can also do rss feeds here.

I often introduce others to a generic funded sponsorsing system so they can learn how to advertise online without paying for the advertising out of poclet

We'll thats a good question

Lead are leads no matter what approach your looking to target it from!

surved leads are normally the most affordable ones.
thats why everyone chooses them.
I feel honestly for direct leads that deal with the exact structure of your business - in other words if your selling energy drinks you would try and get those types of leads people looking to by this type of product. thats real time by the way!

if your a serious minded entreprenuer would seek this as a whole for your ideal market thats your game MLM. right? stay organic look for ways to get targeted leads to your web site?

thats the #1 tip of the day

You have to be careful with the "DO NOT CALL LIST" even if these are telephone verified leads and sometimes when you do call your leads, they will act as if they never filled out a form or talked with anyone.

Vern,

Have you looked at http://www.listbuilderpro.com?

I get 250 leads imported into my traffic oasis autoresponder each month.  I let the system I use do the heavy lifting as far as sorting and sifiting.

That is because I only want to speak with serious, educated and qualified prospects.

Jon :)

Whether you buy leads or generate your own...there's no "right"way. It's not an either or decision. You can do both. Whatever works for you...whatever source or method works for you...your choice period.

But there is one universal truth everyone needs to understand about leads. My friend Tony (Rush) in particular says it best......

"The quality of the lead is important -- no doubt -- but, if you don't know what to say, how to say it and when to say it....you might as well be using a telephone book."

Honestly therein lies the crux of anyone's experience. No matter how good the lead is (or isn't) or what method you use for generation (self, purchase, or both)....if you don't know what you are doing with contact and follow-up.....building that all important relationship.....your experience will not be a good one.

Is that the lead or leads source fault....or yours????

Comments are welcome.

God Bless,
Michael
