I suggest you create a free ebook, an information product that you have an expertise in, and distribute them to Joint Venture affiliates. That won't cost a dime and your ebook will become 'viral' and spread like wildfire. Just like a syaing 'give people what they want and you shall receive'.

My most successful form of advertising has always been good old article marketing. Many people steer away from this method because of all the articles that can be found on any given topic but this is what people want , new fresh content. If someone was very serious about an article marketing campaign and willing to submit 1 article every other day to the top 10 article directories after about a month of this you should see some results with even mediocre writing skills.
Trust me on this I have always tracked my results and articles work but going back to credibility if you chose to use this method of advertising what what you write. You don't want some sloppy work out there that you just though on the internet to get a post for the day. I have done this and it is a horrible way to approach your business...

Again post it notes is 1000% better than flyers and sizzle cards. I pay a kid 8 bucks an hour to post them on car windows and $100 per sale for each sale made from his work. The kid cleans up for a 14 year old. If you want to see my post it note here is a link . WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

I don't care what medium you use to attract people to your website (e-zines, paid on-line ads, leaving your sig. file at the end of your comments, social networking, etc.), if I click on your "opportunity" and the other end of the click is a "capture" page, I'm NEVER going to bite. I don't know anything about YOU.
You have got to be willing to let people get to know you!
It's relationships, remember!
In other words, if something says "INSTANT" I promise you I'm not interested.
Success in network marketing takes time. It's hugely rewarding...but it takes time. "instant MLM success" is an oxymoron.

I own a small lawn service and wanted to pass along a cheap advertising trick.
For years we've been pinning our business cards on local community bulletin boards at grocery stores, libraries and coffee shops - mostly in the neighborhoods and areas we service.
Came across these on ebay - http://www.cardcues.com
These guys came up with a new card holder that pins to a bulletin board and allow us to throw 30 cards up at a time so our cards stay up on the boards even after a prospect has taken one. Much better than the two or three cards I was limited to before and a real time saver - plus they're cheap.
Anyways, wanted to share.

Blogs are now re-printing my articles and it's bringing a steady flow of highly targeted traffic to my website. Nothing outrageous, a couple thousand hits a month, but extremely targeted and they are calling or emailing me with questions.
I think it's important to write an article that informs the reader of something specific and that relates to your business in someway. This seems to attract people (leads) with and interest in what you do. Also, the reader is more likely to respond with an email if you give them a reason to in the article.

In response to your question in the MLMForums.com about the most cost effective advertising that I've used, I would have to say article marketing works very well.

I'm intrigued about three of the methods mentioned in this thread.
1. Articles- Is there a good resource that teaches how to write a good and effective article? I am not a bad writer, but i have never attempted article marketing. I would not know where to start, or how to write an effective article, or how to chose material to write on. Can anyone help me there?
2. Letters to the editor, now there's an interesting idea. How does one go about that? Do you read an ezine article or online news article, then submit a question or coment, the same as if you were writing to a newspaper or magazine editor? Do you include a link and sig file?
3. Yahoo Answers, can you include a link to your site in the sig line?
I would love some feedback on these.

How To Write And Submit Articles To The Article Directories Quickly And Easily

Many people write and submit one article at a time to the article directories. Others write many articles and then submit them all at once. There are many schools of thought on this matter, so I will simply explain how my process works. I have written and submitted more than 565 articles during the past 13 months using this method.
- I make notes about what my articles will be about. I then make sure that each article has a point and teaches or explains some valuable information to the reader. My list of ideas for future articles stays next to my computer.
- In the morning I take a look at this list and then write an article on the idea that interests me most. I write the article using Word and then save it to my hard drive in a folder that contains similar articles. I make sure to spell check and edit the article before saving it.
- Then I go to select all and copy while I am still in Word.
- Next I go over to my account an Ezine Articles and go into my author's area. There I do a control v to paste my Word document into the area designated for it.
- I give my article a keyword rich title, write an interest generating summary, and make sure my resource box invites them back to a place where the reader can get more information.
- I submit the article and then log out of my account.
- I do this regularly throughout the day when I am working at home. I have found this to be the fastest and easiest way to write and submit your articles. As I write each article I cross it off on my list.
I encourage you to use this method for writing more articles in less time.

As far as choosing a topic to write about, you would want to choose topics that you know something about and could offer the reader help with and also topics that have keywords in them that would attract who you're trying to attract to your resource box or sigfile.
For example, if you sell skateboarding equipment, you would want to write an article about skateboard repair or how companies manufacture skateboard equipment. Your article would contain lots of keywords in the body of the article that a reader may be searching for on Google so that it gets organically indexed in Google for those keywords.
The more you do this over time the more you'll get listed on the first page of Google.
Think of it as permanent advertising.

The lowest costing way I have advertised is with Traffic Exchanges. It takes a while to build momentum, but once you do it never stops.
It took me about 8 months to build over 10,000 hits a day consistantly and although it costs zero money, it did cost time.
Was it worth it?
I would say yes...I mean it's free targeted advertising. We all want that.
I did find a way to cut my surfing time to about 5 minutes a day to surf only the best Traffic Exchanges, the top one's with the most members. This really made it a lot easier to go viral to the point that I do not need to surf at all now and still can generate about 20,000 hits everyday.

I use a NWM/MLM generic offline marketing system that provides excellent audio and video training on offline marketing techniques. They also provide an 800# sizzle line for you, prewritten autoresponders, sizzle line message, sizzle cards that are proven to get people calling you, and about 20 other techniques to use.
When used in conjunction with each other you have about 15 to 20 leads calling you each week asking for more information. I love the fact that they are calling me first.

To your question: What traffic exchanges are giving me 20,000 hits a day?
I have worked all the exchanges and there's only a few that had incredible results.
WebBizInsider is my favorite. It allows you to buy a downline and email them once a week. I found the members very responsive to my offers.
Just this week (May 31st) I emailed 5644 people in my downline and had a 28.9% click rate which translated into 32 sales. Nothing in a traffic exchange has ever come close to that kind of response.
The most important thing to keep in mind when using traffic exchanges is: How many members do they have and how active are they really? If it's not active or has lots of members you're talking to a blank wall.
Traffic Hoopla is a great resource because it rates the activity and popularity of all the echanges on a weekly basis. I have found that by only joining the top 5-10 exchanges I can get results.
Some people think they're a waste of time and although I understand that opinion, I have found a way to make them go viral. There's no money involved just some time.
Is it worth it? Well, I really am getting over 20,000 a day from a highly-targeted responsive crowd that are buying and asking questions. It was worth the effort to me because it's been over a year since I started the ball rolling on that and it keeps growing. I haven't surf in over 8 months and it's still growing.

I'm finding some great suggestions here. Especially the article marketing. That really appeals to me, and I've just recently had one accepted by EzineArticles.com. Lots of people say it works, but I can see now that it takes patience and persistence -- like most things in life worth achieving.
