Seriously! How often do we overlook basic info in order to make things flashy? All I did for my home event planning business was to throw an ad onto http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/event_planners.html and concentrate my energy on helping the people who responded.

I really don't think you need to spend a lot of money on advertising- especially when you are working with the low overhead of a home office. Its working for me, anyway.

For press releases the only ones that really matter are the ones you have to pay for. I think the most important one is PRWeb and if you want to see some ROI from that, you probably have to pay for the $200 press release. But I've heard that those press releases generate pretty good ROI that equates to paying $0.01 - $0.03 per visitor. That's not bad at all.

But I'm not sure how those work out for network marketers and a niche product. It might though.

Believe it or not, there are some business that can truly be ran with no startup costs.  That's what I did.  It is, however, alot more work that way.  With the right company, it is totally doable!

What Are The Best Traffic Exchange?




So you want to know what a Traffic Exchange is?

No problem....A Traffic Exchange or Hit Exchange as they are also known is a real Traffic Alternative. Basically you receive exposure for your own web site, banner ads, and even text links by viewing the sites and ads of other people.

These programs provide you with a very powerful and cost effective way of :

- Putting your product or service in front of a very diverse audience

- Seeing what other folks are promoting

- Getting an idea of how your competition is targeting their campaigns

- Branding your name, gather leads, and yes, even make sales Traffic Exchanges are member based, so you must open an account with each exchange you intend to use.

This is a simple task that can be completed in just a couple of minutes, and for FREE exchanges it costs nothing to join.

Traffic Exchanges operate on a credit system. Members earn credits by participating in a variety of ways, and then "spend" these credits on website visitors to their own pages, banner ad impressions, text links, and in some cases, even email advert's.

By maintaining active memberships in a few good exchanges, you can generate a tremendous flow of traffic for any web site you wish to advertise. When used properly, these resources are an excellent way to promote just about anything.

So now you know the basics on what a Traffic Exchange is you will need to know what types of exchanges to use.

There are Manual Traffic Exchanges and Auto Surf Traffic Exchanges:

Manual - These are the exchanges that I always use as you have to click to the next site after so many seconds. This means you have to see the page to click.

AutoSurf - I stay away from these as members can just switch on and leave it scrolling from site to site while say making a cup of coffee, No one need actually see your page and in my experience many if not all dont. You can have combination exchanges that have both but they tend to be avoided by myself.

Now you know the two types of exchanges you must now choose a FREE or PAID Exchange.

FREE - A Free exchange costs nothing to join or use and is a great free advertising resource.
I belong to over 40 FREE Exchanges.

PAID or PRO A Paid exchange or PRO exchange as they are also known requires a one time joining fee to join but this can be good as you know that every person using the exchange has actually put their hand in their pocket and spent some money online.

These in my view produce better results than the free exchanges but generally have a lot less members so not as wide a reach.

Find out the best ones to use and then how to build free traffic in them using the link here or at the top of the page. This will take you to a site that reports all of the stats to the top traffic exchanges weekly so you know the ones with the most activity and the most members, which translates to more traffic to your website.

If your products or service are made up so providing information and explanation would enhance sales, you might consider providing special meetings, workshops, or seminars where you can share relevant materials and product knowledge with existing or potential customers. This effort would generate additional sales dollars.
 
Nowadays, free tele-seminars and webinars (online video/audio seminars) are pretty popular. At the end of your tele-seminar/webinar, you can share with participants the benefit of your product or service .... as well as your offer along with a great bonus if they take action right away.
 
Now the premise here is to lead with your product/service.  Usually more effective with this approach.  You could of course cover your business opportunity instead .... but be aware the conversions usually are less.  Leading with product first ..... using this approach ..... has a higher conversion rate.  It will also create loyal customers who are more likely to become loyal business builders based on that experience.
