That is great...and I totally agree. I found something else kinda interesting about quitting too. I found that if people don't believe in what they are doing, the fastest way to change it, is to quit! I quit every job I ever had...never once was I fired, I quit, cause I hated em. Find something you like...that works for others...and committ...until you decide to quit...lol. OK ok OK...I will quit writing now...thanks for the great post.
Eric

This is a catchy title for a post. I like it! I read an article by Chris Tinney 3 years ago that was about if you don't get read you are dead. He was referring to email marketing and getting your mailed opened, but it certainly can apply to forum marketing as well.
I would say as long as you do some research before you join a mlm program or an affiliate program you have no reason to quit as long as the company does not let you down. By that I mean with a bounced paycheck, or crappy customer service, or giving you marketing tools like a website that is offline more than it is online etc. etc.
Otherwise quitting and jumping around to the next sure thing does not work because you never get any momentum going. I would venture to say if you look at the top earners in any program they have longevity and a lot of elbow grease tied back to their success.

Hi Eric,
your post is pretty inspiring.
I have a friend who eventually decided to quit in a certain
time because he felt that there was no leverage in doing
what he loves but unable to spare time for it but being
tied up in the office.
I'd say that most of the time it is we who are the only
stumbling block to success. If we quit whining and start
to take serious action and be disciplined enough to deliver
that plan of action to manifest.
Surely , success is just around the corner.

Never Never Never Quit EVER!!
Simply Take what you've learned from your last company the bits that made sense and worked for you and apply them
to your next business
your persistence will always pay off in the end
look at it like this you don't have failures
you have results
this was not a failure...
after all haven't you learned a lot about yourself and building a business ?
most successful people in this life have failed more times then un-successful people they just keep learning and keep going
applying what they have learned
just think of Thomas eddison how many times he had un-successful results with the light bulb
over 10,000 times
but did he quit ?
NO WAY
he just applyed what worked and what did not until. ...
he turned NIGHT INTO DAY !!!!!!! thats whats possible if you just keep going
network marketing when you get it right will change your life forever
not to mention the 1000's of other peoples life's you will directly or indirectly change as well
Hope this has helped a little

That is a very attention getting headline! You should use that in some print advertising, I bet you would get great results!
Everything you said is true, you have to shrug off negative thoughts and attitudes....and get right back into the game! Dont let anything get you down.
Action is the key to success!!

I remember when I was about to "quit", it was...
... right when I first started out about 2 - 3 years ago when I struggled to make a dime.
I was in an business opportunity, I was following everything I was told to do, but for some reason it wasn't "clicking".
What changed?
Well to make a long story short, it was when I finally decided to "train" and "educate" myself on how to really build a business successfully and who I needed to become in order to be a success.
And I think this is one of the reasons most people "QUIT" and throw in the towel. Because they haven't learned the skills needed to be successful.
For anyone making substantial money here, I'm pretty sure you'd agree that you need a certain level of skill set before you can "really" make it in this business. Whether it's from books, seminars, training materials, CD's or from the school of hard knocks or maybe a little bit of both, learning new skills is the only way you're going to be successful at anything, and network marketing is no different.
So if you're about to quit or on the verge of throwing in the towel, my advice - learn some new skills that'll help take your business to the next level.
And this forum is a good place to start, it's filled with successful people with tons of skills that you can learn from and apply to your business, or at the very least they can point you in the right direction of some great training material that has helped them build their skill set.
So if you or somebody you know has ever thought about quitting, my advice - learn a new skill.
Well, that's my two cents.
I'd love to hear about what helped other people who were about "quit" but didn't.
- Richard

Great topic guys!
I see and speak with people on a daily basis, who are contemplating quitting their MLM business. It's very interesting to see the "Decisions" that people make to advance both personally and in their careers. When people are faced with adversity, human nature leads them to take the path of least resistance. That being "quitting".
There is a process that a person needs to go through to obtain the proper mindset to be successful in multilevel marketing. You must first decide to succeed with your business and decide that nothing is going to get in your way of becoming tremendously successful...Nothing!
Does that mean that there will be no challenges. Quite the opposite, that means that you're going to be pushed and challenge beyond what most people would endure. Why? Again, because most people decide to quit and therefore, don't experience the challenges at all. Nor will they experience the freedom that success in MLM provides.
Understand that I'm only covering the tip of the iceberg but, I believe you can decide your future today by not quitting....or, decide by quitting. The choice is up to you.

| I recently read something relevant on one of my mentors' blog - a story called "The Daffodil Principle". Kind of a long read, but well worth it...

Streamliner,
You're welcome! The peice provides me with encouragement and inspiration, especially when I start thinking that Network Marketing will never pay off...just remember that the pyramids were built one stone at a time.

They were indeed.
Just be careful not to think that way at all. My personal opinion is that it will pay off for anyone who makes the decision to "Pay the PRICE"!
That will be the topic for a new thread to come.

Hello Richard,
Thanks for sharing your story.
I'm sure that there's many people who find
that they have not only grown in terms of financial
cashflow but also in terms of the internal being themselves.
This is indeed the core of success.

I would even go so far as say - if you aren't successful in your company - quit the company too!
Find a company or product that makes your heart sing - that makes you leap out of bed every day, that you can't stop dreaming about every evening - THAT is success!
And if you have that passion - you can' t help but be successful. If you are "fighting" your business - leave! Find your love and work from there
Enjoy life!

Hi Richknight,
I was reading your post and would like to agree with you that education is very important in this business. Besides having a strong enough why that would keep you in the game you do need to educate yourself and seek information from others that are already where you would like to be.

I believe that would mean "look for mentors"

Vern,
I've heard many successful marketers speak, some in person and others via streaming audio or video. One thing they all have in common is that they have mentors with whom they remain in contact even AFTER they hit it big. Seems to me that the lesson here is that one can never know enough, and must continue to learn and grow.
