My friend Andrew Berner of Millionaire Mindset and AdvantageConferences shared this thought recently with a network on Ryze we both participate in. Pretty powerful stuff every home business owner should take to heart.
IF AT FIRST YOU DONT SUCCEED - QUIT!
If you don’t succeed at first: quit crying, quit thinking negatively, quit dwelling on the worst case scenario, quit your "I can't" attitude, quit quitting, quit not living up to who you are, quit listening to cancerous people, quit making excuses, quit blaming others, quit defeat, quit stopping, quit your fears!!! QUIT DOING WHAT THE AVERAGE PERSON WOULD DO. My friend, you are set apart for success, it is wired into you and that is why you stepped out in the first place.
God Bless,
Michael

Great advice, Michael! Basically everything that keeps you from succeeding is covered in that little paragraph.
Have a great day!

Good advice, and catchy title there. I was going to say that does NOT fit will with my vow. When I came into this industry I never gave myself the option of quitting, so I never thought of that choice.
I've said for years, quitters never win and winners never quit and we all have the same choices and options.
I love your article.

Great advice! And just when I needed it! I've been at the computer all morning - posting ads and looking for more places to post ads. I have been at this for about three weeks (which I know is not long) and I have had to get a brace for my wrist and I think my fingers are permanently curled into the typing position! I was thinking to myself "Is anything ever going to happen? Am I ever going to make that first sale?" when I happened upon this post. Thanks for the lift! Now, I'm ready to work again! Because I know if I keep trying, I will get that first sale and then the second sale, and then......................we're off!!

Great words!! I definitely like that way of thinking... network marketers... especially those new to the business needs all the encouragement and inspiration they can get just to keep them pushing and trying to go to that extra length in order to reach their goals.

I've been thinking lately that one of the keys to succeeding is to keep promoting, advertising etc since we have no idea how many people have bookmarked our sites or forwarded it to a friend. There really is no way to know when momentum is going to kick in.
I'm not saying to stick with a company that sucks or you don't enjoy or has unreasonable fees.
I believe that if someone picks a good company, looks at it as a long term project and keeps learning and doing, success is unavoidable.

I especially like the " Quit listening to cancerous people "
It annoys me to no end when someone tries to convince
me to quit doing ANYTHING that I'm already committed to.

I like this...simple and to the point.
Combines due diligence, commitment, continued growth, and effort/work ethic all in one. Remember...the output is a direct result of the input.

Something I picked up from Tony Robbins was if you keep moving in the direction of your goals/dreams and notice what works and doesn't work and do what does then the only way to fail was to quit.

Hey, First Post Here, yeah!
You're absolutely correct Brian. I really like the part, "success is unavoidable".
Success is just a matter of who holds on the longest. With my offline home business it was just a couple of years before other competitors went out of business for various reasons; and guess who got all the customers? It more than doubled my business in a matter of months!
Just by going through your Daily Actions, Day after Day, will lead you to that unavoidable success we all seek.

The biggest turning point for me was when I quit blamming the company or the training on my lack of success. I quit whining about how much time it took to get things rolling and I quit looking for the next 'best program' to push me into $$$.
Once you take responsibility for your own personal success, you will find it. You are the ultimate decision-maker and motivator in your life - be responsible and take ownership of that.

I ditto all of you, well said, just like another statement," stick to your task until it sticks to you." or stick to your network marketing business until the business sticks to you."

| Your post is hands down one of the most important things to remember, especially when you FIRST START to feel those negative emotions creeping up slowly. Nip it in the bud as soon as you start feeling them and just remember what you said! So incredibly simple YET SO VALUABLE. Thanks!

You're absolutely right... It is most common to start experiencing levels of frustration when you are first starting out. Most people have an incredible amount of excitement in those early stages and can be severely dissapointed when they don't see results as quickly as they would liked. That's why many people quit too early or start jumping around to other programs that offer 'quicker results'. Just remember that this is a long-term business and that it takes a long-term committment to be successful.
