I've been reading and commenting in here for some time, now and one thing I must say, I have come to respect many of you for your wisdom and your insight. There truly are some sharp people in here. I never come in here and walk away untouched, not having learned something. My leadership skills have grown tremendously and I believe I have become a better mentor and online marketer having spent time with all of you.
There is a little project I am working on and I would like to have some input from this community. Here is what I am looking for. I would be interested to know what all of you believe to be the three most important skills you must develop in your downline in order to insure duplication and growth of your organization. I realize there are more than that, I just want to see what everyone would pick as their top three. Another way to think of it would be, if you could only teach three skills, what would they be? I'm interested in seeing how this shakes out, and hey, it will be fun. So, if you don't mind, let me have your thoughts on this.

Mitch,
I'll take a stab at this. Please understand my top 3 may not match well with others suggestions. I tend to think a bit out of the box (sic not mainstream) and target personal skills as well as "technical".
With that ... here we go (as simple as I can put it):
1. Listening ... if you can't (or won't) listen to others than you can't (or won't) connect with prospects AND be coachable. God gave us 2 ears for a reason.
A good listener is usually a better decision maker too. Take in "all the facts" .... THEN go take action. You're less likely to stumble and more likely to get off on the right foot.
2. Internet marketing .... face it, the future (shoot ... the present) is online. Relying on "warm market" is well past times.
3. Time management .... you absolutely have to be efficient with your time and efforts. Prioritize and have a plan. Otherwise you'll just spin your wheels and get frustrated. The result then is blame, excuses, and quiting. The antithesis (if you wisely manage your time) is momentum and forward movement.
Hope that's close to what you're looking for.
God Bless,
Michael

Michael,
Yes, Indeed, that is the kind of input I am looking for. It's amazing, another forum in which I posted this same question, Listening keeps popping up, usually in the first spot! I believe I am garnering the material I need to write a good article on just that subject. Thanks, as always, for your input, my friend. I always know I can count on you to have something profound and very educational to say.

Hey Guys,
Here's the mindset that I try to develop in my downline. (not necessarily the skills) which are very important.
1. Passion- Love what you do! When you love what you have chosen as your vocation to create the freedom you deserve, you are truly designing your life. Allow youself to have so much fun that there is nothing else you would rather do. Allow yourself to be creative and use your talents so that they become skills. Hone your craft and love every second of the process. Who said work shouldn't be fun?
2.Your Attitude and Energy-Entrepreneurs have a special attitude; it is positive. When I say positive, I'm not talking about being excited, jazzed, juiced, jacked up or pumped up. When I say positive, I mean they believe in the good in life and the good in people. They should have an attitude and a mindset that expects good situations and good people to find them.
3.Faith-Those who have great faith have great power. Strenthening your self-esteem is paramount to developing a strong faith in yourself. Faith is built from belief, acceptance and trust. Your mind must be steady in its conviction that you have the ability to change; everybody does. Those who live in fear or who are afraid to risk usually live and die in struggle mentaly only wishing they could have acted more on their dreams. Faith is never passive: it must be active.

Ok here are my top three:
1) The ability to market. If they can get this one down, they are golden. The ability to get the word out about what kind of solutions they provide is essential.
2) Phone skills. The ability to establish rapport with people on the phone and actually listen to what they have to say is irreplacable.
3) The desire to help people. I am a firm believer that what goes around come around.
