A resource I use for my offline advertising is http://www.wolfenterprises.net
I will also advertise in suburban newspapers if I choose to to newspapers. The only big newspaper I have found to be worth it was USAToday.

Hello Guys,
While we are on this topic I am curious....very curious to know your personal results or experiences when placing ads in the newspaper. Some spoke about surburban ads, some spoke of locacal newspapers and some spoke about the USA Today. What were your results thousands of phone calls ? Thousands of leads ? Thousands of clients ? I am well aware that ad copy plays an important role in results but Freedom Fire said it well as he stated the possibility of achiving just half of 1% which can also bring great results. The USA today alone reaches 6 million readers think of the possibility. But i really want to know if your results and experiences from newspaper advertising.
thanks

| Advertising in newspapers is a good way to market your business. I was taught how to do this about 4 years ago. Usually you want to select a paper that has more than 300,000 in circulation. There are 3 questions you want to ask the sales person. The first question is what is your circulation? Then you want to know the cost for the ad and lastly, ask whether someone else running the same ad? This last question is for those you are involved in affiliate organizations like a MLM. A good cost guideline is no more than $30/week per 100,000 in circulation. Test your paper for 4 weeks. If it pays for itself and then some, do the ad again, if it doesn't, find another paper.

To repeat .... "personally I don't do bizop advertising with this...although I know some do and have had success. I've used it for products/services and it worked for me. For you....don't know. Likely vary by what you're offering and how well you target your market."
Any comment?
God Bless,
Michael

I am going to try an ad in a local Classified paper/magazine. The price is right and it has great exposure. It is circulated for free and can be found in the Subway's as well as around the city. Its not a big circulation, but the price is cheap. Its more of a test to see if it makes sense to advertise in this medium.
Ad runs April 7, will let you know the resuls.

Hi Everyone,
I have seen a lot of free little hometown papers around and have been considering advertising in them. I wanted to see what everyone else thought and what experience you may have had with a small paper vs. a large metro or national paper.
Please share your experiences!
Thanks!
Sharon

Thanks for the resources. This is great! Very convenient to have this list of newspapers all in one place.
Have you used them and if so which ones pulled the best responses for you?
