Hi Everyone,
For the last 1 1/2 years I've marketed solely online.
I now have more time on my hands and want to learn and test Direct Mail Marketing strategies. I've been reading up on it and I've ordered great postcards for both my product and opportunity and found a great place to order direct mails lists for product. I am now looking for a place to buy direct mail lists for people who are looking for a way to make money from home.
Does anybody out there have experience with any Direct Mail list vendors they'd like to recommend?

I would recommend sending postcards for a free information package. As far as a mailing list is concerned. I would rely on ones with local and regional demographics. You can usually expect a better response.
One thing to remember is that a direct mail isn't enough to sell someone. However it does separate the serious from the curious and the leads you'll generate will be legit

One of the issues people face with direct mail lists are false or non-deliverable addresses, however there is a way to check before you send out the mail. Go to http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp and you can verify an address is correct before sending anything. Often times you can find out if an address was written incorrectly (Jefferson Ave vs. Jefferson St).

| I recently had a discussion with someone about post card direct mail. Although I am familiar with the marketing stratgies of direct mail, I have not heard of this one. I used to send materials using priority mail envelopes that contained a video, some samples, a cover sheet and some other information along with my business card to people, but I like the idea of just sending post cards. I know too you can buy leads from services and these leads can be catagorized into different areas, like health, business, etc., but many of them can be very expensive. Can anyone recommend a lead service that is inexpensive that they know either you or someone else you know has gotten some good results? Any response would be greatly appreciated?

I too have marketed my business almost entirely online for the last 7 years. I have not had a good response with mass snail mailings, however sending mailings to my self generated leads has worked well for me....but then again they also know who I am.
If anyone has had a good response with a particular mailing company I would be pleased if you could pass the info on.

I have actually had great success with direct mail marketing, but targetted leads are key.
