Hello everyone... just looking for opinions...

We do a number of home presentations with our business, and we have a dvd that we can use instead of an actual "speech".  What do you think about 10 prospects gathered around the tv watching a dvd... is it ok, or do we lose credibility with this approach?  The good thing is, it is duplicatable for other members.

Just curious as to your thoughts... I have mixed emotions...

Have a great night!

I think its a great idea. If anything I think a well produced dvd gives your company credibility. I think if you are able to give 10 people at a time a strong presentation it can only do your business good. My company has just brought out a dvd a month ago and already I am seeing fantastic results with it.

Hi there,

If it were me, I would go with the live presentation myself.  I think it makes things more personal with the potential prospects.   I also love the thrill of speaking to many people but that's just me.

If you're stuck, I would do a couple of presentations with the dvd and a couple yourself and see your turn out.  Of course there are other factors like quality of prospects but it'll give you a fairly good idea.  But, if the dvd thing is working, who am I to say to stop using it.  If you go by the "whatever works for you" advice, you can't go wrong.

Good luck

In my industry I use the DVD presentation. It is very easy to use and it shows your prospect the ease of promoting the business. I sometimes take the prospect to the weekly meeting where we have our director give the live presentation.

The only draw back to a DVD is that if your company is always putting out new things be sure to mention them at the end of the DVD presentation.

Remember you want your business to be easily duplicatable, the DVD makes this happen for your prospects making your team grow with better ease. Finally, this is only recommended if you have a very serious prospect with trust. Make a copy of the DVD give it to them and get back with them within 48 hours. Now you don't have to get a group together.
