Yes I do.  They do work well.  They are good for geo-specific affiliate programs (for obvious reasons).  However they do take time.

My advice is: make them as cheap as possible (small is okay, too) and do as many as possible.

Think of them as sort of offline Adwords ads.  All you need is a headline, a couple of lines of text, and your URL.

When I use them the whole point is simply to get them to look at my site, so I don't fret about trying to sell off the flyer.

I agree that when you design a flyer, be sure your headline is catchy.  You want the prospect to go to your website where you sell yourself.

I have used them, they are really good for college campuses where there are students.  They are always looking to make extra money.

Hello,

Flyers are excellent tools! Of course I can say that because Im in the printing business. A good design is key. I have found out, if you put in colors your response
multiplies greatly! It's worth it.

Hello to all!

A flyer is great as a follow up tool as well.

If you have samples of your product, you can send those along as well.

It gives you a reason to follow up with folks as well.

Live the Dream!

What is the best method of distributing your flyers?

I am trying the Pole with the tear away website URL'S at the bottom.

From your experience would home delivery of flyers work for the kind of business I am trying to promote? If so what type of residences? Low income vs middle Class vs well the rich?

I don't think it matters not so much whether it is the rich or lower class as it would be deternining your torget market.  Because you don't want to give flyers out on fitness to those who are interested video games or communities that are not into health.

So, it is important to know your target market.  Then you try to post flyers in those areas.  You can mail them out to residences or post them in community centers like supermarkets, gas stations, or in press releases or telephone poles and so on.  I would also if I were you do a search online for additional suggestions on where to post flyers.

I hope this information was helpful for you.

Hi Jennifer,

What did you think of the printing company and how many did you get done up?  Also what did you feel your response rate was for over all after all the flyers were passed out?

Judi

I have not tried flyers yet, but have been told that it is a forgotten way to market.  I guess the question is where to put them?

I was thinking laundrymats, libraries, book stores, grocery store bullitin boards.  But I don't know where else?

I would like to know about the ratio of conversions on flyers too....

One thing I have done in the past is put flyers on bulletin boards like at a grocery store.  I did that when I was a District Sales Manager for AVON.  I will say that had a very nice success rate.

But as we both asked before, where else would you put them?

Instead of flyers, I recommend post it notes right on the side drivers window. Works like a charm!  Less obtrusive than flyers and must actually be taken off. Better than business cards cause they wont fly away in the wind.  Pay a kid a few bucks to put them in commuter parking lots.

Flyers seem to cost too much per conversion. But of course it depends on who your target market is.  Younger, "hipper" generations are more likely to be approached online.
