I recently started putting links to my published articles on both of my blogs and Squidoo Lens.  I have links to my main blog on my Squidoo lens amd fo my Squidoo Lens on both blogs.  I also have links for my blogs and Squidoo lens on my GDI website.

What are otther people doing for linking strategies?  do you exchange links?  do you offer to put peoples links on your websites or blogs?  What is working and not working for you?
Jon

For SEO rankings one-way, relevant links are the most

valuable, as from credible article directories, etc.

IF you are just looking to "trade" traffic with 2-way

links, you can do that with any site that has visitors

who might like your offer.

You can use something like AdWeb8 to automate this

type of link exchange.  Otherwise its quite tedious to

approach webmasters and offer to exchange links.

Still, if you see a site that you can offer quality visitors to

and they can do the same, it may be worth asking for

a 2-way link exchange.

I have ways to build a lot of one-way, interconnected links

to my sites.  Its not hard to do but like a lot of SEO stuff

it is somewhat tedious.  PM me if you want about this.

Press releases are  a good way to generate inbound links

to your pages as well.  Try to write good ones to give

your business an aire of credibility.  I have seen a lot of

bad, hyped-up press releases and I am embarrassed for

the promoters that wrote them.  In the long-term, a lot

of stuff you put out will follow you online if its got your name

on it, so plan accordingly with press releases, etc...

Especially trading links with adult-content sites is probably

not wise if you want to be taken seriously as a network

marketer or business coach.

I've been using a an ad blasting tool that automatically submits my ad and link request to thousands of sites weekly. Perhaps this can be an alternate way to create links for you.

I quit doing link trades a couple of years ago and now just go for one way backlinks. Article marketing and social bookmarking is working for me. Buying one way text links is o.k. after you have a large number of backlinks built up from various sources.
