Hi Errin,
Although I'm not going to bore you with details.
I'll just give you the basic structure of this.
A webring is basically a huge network of similar
categories of websites (in this case our blogs)
that interconnect. They are in an agreement where
the nav bar rotates between different sites
related to that specific category for the reader
upon clicks.
So, it's in a way a win-win situation for both
the webmaster and the reader.
The webmaster get's "connected" to other webmasters
blogs or content based websites and get's traffic while
the readers get a nice variety of web places to visit in
relation to that specific topic. (such as home business...etc,etc)
Hope it helps and don't hesitate to ask when you have
more questions. It keeps this thread alive and
helps me to learn more by answering too

Another link that I have used is link submit plus its used for direct linking, I don't think llik exchanges are as good as it used to be in the passed.

I have an MLM Prepaid Gas Card and Direct Sales Software sites.
The gas card site was a pr3 on it's way to pr4 but Google made the changes and now the site is pr2 for now.
The Direct Sales site is a new site and has just been indexed but will be on top fast.
I invite you to place your own link in my directories if your site is similar and so there is no mistakes. I am in the process of cleaning it up as well. Any suggestions for catagories are welcome.
