Hello,
I am a newbie looking for some advise on where to get started. I have been doing research on network marketing and decided I will give it a try. I also thought about interlocking the internet with my marketing. Can anyone give me some tips on how to get started. I would appreciate any tips that is not hype or gimmicks thanks.

Hi TLS
Just some friendly advice...
Don't just give Network Marketing "a try". You might find it difficult to reach a level of success you're looking for if you're not fully committed to your Network Marketing business.
Best of luck in your new MLM career!

Hi TLS,
When it comes to creating websites, there's a whole range of options.
If you are not really techie and don't want to be there's website builders where you mostly just point click and type like you're writing a letter and everything is set up on a website for you. You hardly have to know much about hosting. There's some where you can start out with a (sub)domain name instead of buying one - until you get the hang of things.
There are free and fee based creation software tools that you can use from your PC that are WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) - they require a little more technical knowledge regarding uploading files to your hosting account. A popular example you may know about is FrontPage (costs money).
Of course there's more heavy duty apps like DreamWeaver which requires you know know quite a bit about HTML coding. You need to be comfortable with coding or determined to get comfortable.
If this is the stuff you want to know about you can send me a personal message or throw out more questions here. Lots of knowledgeable folks around.
Sabrina..

Hi TLS,
Welcome to the boards! It's very nice to meet you!
Andrew is right, don't just give MLM a 'try', it will be very hard to be successful that way.
First, you need to find out what your interests are and what you have fun doing.
See if there's a company out there that matches your interests.
Then do your homework. Research that company as far as start-up costs, monthly commitments, ect. If you come across a member's site with contact info, definately contact that person and ask them why they started a homebusiness with that particular company. Are they having success? Do they have support from their sponsor? Is there company sponsored training? Ask a LOT of questions.
From experience I have learned that it's best when company has a product or products that are 'unique and consumable' in other words something that is not readily available in stores and something that people use up and have to buy again month after month.
Also make sure that the company has a proven track record and has been around for a while. Anyway, that should get you started ;o)
As far as your question on a website. A lot of companies will give you a free website that you can use to market, but if you want to create your own there are option available as well.
I usually create my websites using Adobe GoLive. It's a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) application that also lets you write your own code, or at least edit it, if you'd like.
Recently I was strapped for time, so I used a website builder for the first time in my life and I was happily surprised. It was fast and very easy, and my site was live on the net in an instant....which was pretty cool. They even let me try it for the first 10 days which meant I could just play around with it without having to give them my credit card info. I used http://www.upcsites.org/ They have tons of features, and like I said, I was very happy with it.
Hope this helps.
Have an awesome week!
Ilka ;o)

I would suggest creating a blog with wordpress.com or somthing. It's really easy and if you write keyword relevant content and tag your article with you key words you'll get some traffic.
Here is my personal blog as an example (it is not a business blog, so I'm not trying to sell you anything): http://www.tltate.wordpress.com
just go to http://www.wordpress.com

Hello,
I just wanted tolet you know I ctually have 13 websites, and I have had a hard time finding just one web design software that would actually have ll that I needed. Since I use advertisers from ComissionJnction, I need to be able to put scripting into my website. In addition, I like tempates that save me time. So I am fially using something that works. I use ThunderSite Deluxe, and I usually don't give out credit unless I am getting paid for it, but I understand what it is like. Its actually 69.99 if yougo through the software to uprade frm the trial version. Suggest doing that. Anyway, enjoy your day and hopefully , this helps.
