The Thing About Network Marketing: A Brief Overview

The internet has taken marketing to soaring levels. And anyone with a business knows that solid (active or passive) marketing is key to sustainability. The ability to interest an influx of people that come looking for you, not only does wonders for your name and reputation, but can boost productions and affiliations to unprecedented heights.

The thing is, more then 90% of home-based businesses fail! And this is simply because most people have not grasped the fundamental concepts of marketing. The good intentions of a sponsor are irrelevant when at the end of the day they have little idea as how to execute their business plans. Yes, having a plan is integral; but the skills of application are essential.

So I could tell you specifics that would tighten any business plan from creating profitable relationships between all the numbers in your universe (money, team members, time, etc), to understanding your target audience via surveys. But really, I'm writing this because I want you (yes, you!) to understand being successful in this business does not take loads of money or time; it takes direction and some specific skills.

The thing is, there are five crucial elements to network marketing! First, tap into the appropriate market by understanding where their motivations lie. With an equally appropriate lead capture page, draw people to your website. You then entice people to take some action (sign-up, call, etc.), while ensuring a solid follow-up system is in place.

This is not about the power of duplication any more than it is about driving power. Whatever works, right? Well, almost. Having a guide can be great; consistently being a guide is superb. My team's motto: always work smart, so when you work hard, you will always attain maximum gain.

Hi Dr.Saf,

While you could actually do it one at a time, you can select
to do side projects which are really smaller in scale and
track their performances.

To be honest when I first started I also had this problem
but as I realised I was slow only because I didn't practice
enough and when I did, things got better and better.

Stay focused and run the marathon, not sprint.

Regards,

Vern ;)

Hey Michael,

I like the fact that there was an article on saying that
success in SEO is beginning with small seeds sown into the
keywords as we continue to produce articles.

It just takes some time.

I have learned a great deal reading these threads. I just make 1 point to people I work also, when you get a lead always follow up with them, I had people get some leads come to them and they didn't do anything not even send them a welcome email. The first thing i do is write a good follow up letter and I find that people are more resposnsive, i was out for a week and couldn't do any follow up,i managed to get 2 people to work with me still but the follow up gives me alot more response. People want help or might have questions answered, you just have to make yourself available to them Mike

I'd say that if your autoresponder
messages are more emotionally
oriented triggers - your leads will
convert much more easily.

Cheers,

Vern

I saw it on the first page of the thread, someone asked what do you do with your cold lead. They asked why they should join you and not someone ellse.

When i talk to cold leads people, i tell them about the presentation theey are about to see but I also ask them, I am looking for people who are ready to start once they get their website up and running. I take people who sign up under me and have them listen to me when i am talking to prospects so they can learn to do and what to say. I also help them build their business, I like getting people their first two sales, I tell the prospect when i am talking on the pnoe with them, this is mary, she is part of the team and actually if you join, you will be working with me and mary because I put that person in mary's downline. Then eventually I have mary do some of the prospecting calls and I am on the pphone with her and get het used to talking and have her feel safe talking to people. Then Mary will do the same thing for her downlline and also I am creating a website for people in my downline to use such as short, soft scripts to use when prospecting and following up, I also do a few calls online to see how i do and if anyone has a question, i write it down to help my downline, it is up to them if they want to work and build success for themselves but i agree in help people getting sign ups. Once they get a knack for it,they will build a compfort level.

In order to get highover sign up rates, you have to know how to talk to people on the phone, once you have build that up it will be easier to convert sign ups. If you are afraid, learn to get over the fear, 90% off my marketing is direct mail and phone salesI just used to post ads and got nothing and email correspondence doesnt do too well either. Use the phone and learn to make money that way Mike

I find it easier  when people sign up for the form to request info when I knowthere are looking for a way to make money online than people you cold from the lead sheet. You can kill yourself when calling people from the list.I'm just not doing it.

Well, on the contrary I used to call people

up even if they are on my cold list and they

are generated from my autoresponder capture page.

Communication has many different angles - just find the best one and best fit to your system preference and work it.

Cheers,

Vern

I do talk to some of my members; the ones that have shown interest and are willing to invest their time and money with me. Those are the ones I talk to.

It's really interesting now how marketers are putting together
Web 2.0 type lead generation strategies to include video, social
networking, blogging, RSS feeding etc...

Very exciting ways to generate buzz, attract links and get some
free search engine traffic for writing and posting about what
we enjoy.

But good ole direct response marketing worked into the mix is
still as strong and viable as ever.

Trick is to study, practice and master a method before picking up
another one... so you don't get overwhelmed.

Mike, You raise some excellent points.  I not only send a welcome letter/email that is personalized, I make sure to include all of my contact information.  when a new member enrolls, I still try to telephone them because I want them to know I am a real person they can call or emil anytime they have a question or need help.  It is one thing to build a list.  It is crucial to build real relationships through sending helpful tips, content and making tyourself available and easy to contact. That's a great point guys!

I make it a point to mix in some "high touch" in all
the "high tech" methods to build my list and it really
does work well together..

Slick marketing will  build a large pipeline for you but
you've got to have methods to introduce yourself and
build a relationship. Relationships are the glue of your
business.

Whether to use the internet or not in your prospecting
or business building activities...

... guys and gals...

That a question for the late 90s and the really early 2000s.

IT IS A NON ISSUE TODAY!

You MUST take advantage of the simple methods to
attract massive amounts of quality people into your
marketing sytem.

It's not even a questions today.

If all you're doing is "learning" on the internet... but you're
building your business SOLELY with warm market or running
around to hotel and home meetings and nailing flyers on telephone
poles....

You are HURTING your business...

Period.

Learn some simple Online List Building techniques and
online marketing pipeline prospecting methods and you
will build a "Business"... not just a little side sales job...
