Definitely, all in all relationships will determine business growth.  Customers or prospects are going to have questions about your business.  Being available is key when it comes to making the initial contact with people interested about your opportunity.

The four keys to success in starting to promote your online list are, IMO, not done online.

They are:
  1. Develop a huge why.  why you have chosen do build a business with the company you have chosen
  2. Develop your philospophy.  To borrow from Jim Rohn's definition, this is the core set of fundemental values and principles the define you as a person
  3. Put your goals in writing
  4. Get started the right way in your primary network marketing business.  If this means getting a product pack and business building tools, do what other successful peole in your company have done
  5. Be a student
If I prospect and enroll someone who tells me they want to work with me to build a large business that will earn them a lifetime residual income, these are the minimum requirements I expect to be met.

Jon

Now I follow a specific system to start people in their warm markets, with a contact list, approaches and so on.

with people who also want to build online, I enroll them in a free 100% generic funded proposal franchise system.  I do not start training and working with them until they set up their system correctly and show me proof they have done so.

Online, I get newbies started with two things only:
  1. Traffic Swarm
  2. Adland Pro
Starting with Traffic Swarm, they learn how to write, submit, edit and track advertisements.  With AdlandPro, they learn how to build a network and to advertise.

Andrew,

This is truly key in Internet Marketing, offering the YOU
in the relationship.

What makes me want to stay on a site, let alone
purchase a product or join in a partnership?

It is the relationship and communication from
the person offering it.

One of my pet peeves is going to a website
after an incredible ad that has pulled me in,
and then having no idea the product or
the person making the invitation to "join
my free newsletter", etc.

I want to see a face, hear a voice and
even watch a video to build the trust
needed to even begin a relationship.

To your success and FUN!

No matter what kind of marketing technique or strategy you choose, you must be consistency and persistent in your efforts.  Selecting a few internet marketing techniques and doing them each and evey day, with maybe one day off, is usually my approach to marketing.  If you are inconsistent and not persistent then you are not committed to your business.  Sometimes it helps to ask yourself what you want and when you would like to see what you want happen?  This is what I do almost everyday. In fact, I have a picture in my mind of what I want to see, say in a year, in two years and so on and so forth.  You owe yourself and your business your best effort so why not make your efforts worth your while by working on your internet marketing techniques consistently and with persistence.

Freedom,

Hello, I would like to thank you for posting that article.  It was concise and very easy to read.  I am actually new to the whole online marketing/networking marketing thing.  I haven't really done this before, because I am really about winning the war here, not going in guns blazing, and not knowing what I am doing.  I recently downloaded the Renegade Network Marketing package, and I must say, I am definitely glad I did.  I had no direction, and if any, it told me exactly where to go.  I really appreciate Ann Sieg's work and her candid honesty.  I truly enjoy the idea of sales - the honest way.  No need to lie about a product to get it across!  I did sign up as a affiliate and feel it is a nice program for me.  Many of things in the Renegade System actually mirror what your article did, so I was wondering if you have used the system as well?  I need to say I have over 13 websites that I am trying to build and maintain at once, and I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on implementing the Renegade System (most of which you stated here, just none of the freebies the system gives) and doing multiple websites.  It would really be a bg help.  Thank you again, and I wish the best for your business!

:D

Yep...I know all about Ann's Renegade System.  I'm one of her original JV Partners (Joint Venture=JV).  It's a great resource with a ton of helful info and tools...if one is willing to put in the effort.   ;)

FYI, there's a Renegade discussion board here in the forum.  Feel free to drop by....lurk, ask questions, contribute.

Also...read through the threads in the Web marketing, Blog Marketing, and Article Marketing boards here for ideas.  All in keeping with the renegade philosophy.

God Bless,

Hey Michael,

Thank you for the posts!

Your post fortunately outlines the fact that developing a business, no matter online or off, is a multi-spoked process.

Excellent!

Freedom,

Speaking of Joint Parter Ventures, what is the best way to go about this?  There are some companies that I really think would do well with the websites I am building.  What is the best way to approach someone in regards to this?

IQUIT4ME,

Simply contact them....phone is better maybe with an email "heads up".  Should be some kind of contact info on their website(s).   I'd send an intro email 1st with just a tidbit on what you propose ... and asking permission to chat with them.

Be open and honest ....and make sure it's clear what you offer THEM.  It must be a win-win with even an edge to what they "get" over wht you "get".  Make sure the division of labor and the time required doesn't put it "all on them" either.  In short .... make it worth their while.  Be sure and get their ideas too .... remeber it's a partnership.

God Bless,
Michael

Hey Michael!

The internet is the future of Network Marketing. With the schedules people keep, the hours people are working they don't have the time to pursue outside of the home activities. The days of meetings every week, Rallies every month, Regional Rallies every quarter.... will come to an abrupt end.

The people who hold all of these meetings fail to mention to the newbie that this is actually how most of the money is made in their business. (That and Tapes/CD's)

Personal contact, via the phone, the internet with websites and email will be the way more and more opportunities will be headed.

We are in the right place at the right time!

Tim

faciliate that connection and meet that "need".

That's as good as any reason for why I always suggest people not overlook the potential of using the internet in your marketing.  Millions of people are on the internet everyday.  Why not get some of them to visit you?  Then of course....you need to follow up and close (sponsor a new rep or sell a product/service).  The possibilities are enormous.

Does that make sense?

God Bless,
Michael

Do you have a digital camera?

Why not use it to drive traffic to your site for free?

Next time that your out and about take your camera with you and offer to take peoples picture at fun places, tourist attractions etc, with their friends/family.

Let them know that you would happy to e-mail them the photo.

E-mail them the picture with a short message reminding them of the special momentand a teaser signature file at the end of the message that would compel them to check out my web site.

The teaser message could be as simple as: 'Do you remember me?' http://www.DavidBatchelor.visit.ws

Instant prospects. Instant web traffic. Cost = zero.

I've had great results with ezinearticles.com

They are a bit more strict with their requirements, but the traffic generated is worth the extra effort.

Goarticles.com is another good one as well....

Both are also great information resources as well.

Hello everyone,

I have sat here and listened to everything on here for awhile, I check daily for new insights.  I noticed how we talk about the new next great thing in regards to advertising, but we don't talk about what a beginner needs to know.  Listen, marketing is directly relative to the person doing it.  There are just some things that have to be done to know where to go.  Here are jsut a few I have compiled.

1.  You have to set aside time for weekly training.  Listen, we all bump our heads, and what keeps up from losing our shirts is constant training.  Read what is said and not said.  I personally look for new e-books for free, and new ways to better organize my time.  That is a big problem for me.   Maybe someone else, creativity or lack thereof is their problem.   Whatever you need fine tuning on, then do some work at getting better at it.  Nothing in life is free of work.  You have to work to do things on your own more than you did when you still had a boss to answer to.  Sharpen your skills by doing some training.

2.  Get a friend who is doing what you are doing.  Know someone personally that is actually making money on the internet.  And call them.  And discuss your ideas.  I have a friend that I met in passing.  I find that she is constantly building me up, when I have just felt for months that it just wasn't going to work.

3.  This is  a word to the wise - a mistake I made.  Don't change every 20 seconds just because something goes wrong.  Stick with it, or talk to some people when you are in a stump.  Because I just went where the wind took me, and I stopped making money and started fighting for a way to do it. Now, I am still fighting for a way to do it.  I have to find a better way to market then to sell where the marketing comes free, and they take all my profit as a result.   That is a recommendation I wish someone told me before.

Well, I hope this list helps and enjoy your journey!

I totally agree in finding a few methods that work for you and then stay focused...A mistake that I have made is to try to do too many things at one time and wasn't as focused as I should have been.Focus is huge in network marketing! And perseverance!!

A tool that we found that is very easy to use is the Mlmpowermarketing autoresponder...It also lets you upload your own leads...The only one that I have found so far that allows you to do that...You can have up to 12 different email campaigns going...It does NOT take the place of picking up the phone and talking to people! But it is a great tool.Check it out at : http://www.mlmpowermarketing.com/6088

Right on Kelly!  I will soemtime be asked to comment on someones blog and find a poorlly designed site with no picture, no profile and a page full of adsenses ads.  it what i call an adsens "w***e".  If I leave quickly, I expect everyone else does.  One thing you can do is subscribe to 10-15 high PR blogs in your niche and study how they are formated and set up.  Make note of good lookng themes and if you like how they useimages and audio.  Learn from what is working.  We need to remember that success leaves clues.  Jon
