Making money with your website is never easy, but if you know how to do it the right way and do it every day, you will finally achieve your goal.
As an online marketer, you must know the two important things you need to know about promoting your website with online marketing. I assume that you are one of those people who want to make a lot of money without ever having to put on a suit and tie and going to the office. And let’s not deny that we all dreaming of financial independence and be a successful online marketer.

The first thing you need to keep in mind at all times about online marketing is: content rules. You must know how to make your own content and how to come up with quality stuff. Getting surfers to look at your website is not that hard. Making them read more than a couple of lines is a bit harder.

The second most important thing is to gain links that point to your site, which will bounce you up in search engine ratings. Make sure the links are always from web pages that focus on the same topic as the articles they point to, otherwise you are going to lose points with the search engines and that should be avoided at all costs.

Getting It Started:

Pick a niche market, identify some topics and start writing. Get about 10 articles up on your website, get links for every one of them and then keep an eye out and see if people like them or not. Every morning re-read one of the articles and see if your writing style is really crystal clear and if the ideas stand out from the text and are easy to grasp by anyone.

After weeks of doing this re-read your first articles once more. I am perfectly sure that you will be surprised of how poorly written they seem. Feel free to re-write them, or to write new ones that focus on the same topics and solutions, but with a different approach and wording. Don’t strive to be 100% original every time because this is impossible.

In a short while you will notice that your site is getting a lot of attention because of the friendly content. Keep everything simple and make sure your pages can be accessed easily by surfers who don’t land on your main page. Having a website that doesn’t look slick, but has loads of good content tells people that you are a real person and that you aren’t trying to pull anything.

Marketing campaigns, flashing banners and slick ads are nice, but you don’t need them. Just write articles and get links. Then write more articles and get more links. Repeat this until your website becomes a mandatory stop for people who want to be well-informed on the topic you’ve chosen. The links and surfer clicks will give you good ratings and the original content will make you unique.

Write good articles, put in plenty of keywords (don’t use them blatantly), make sure the links to the merchant website stand out and get other websites to link to you. That’s all you need to know to make a lot of money on the internet.

So there you have it, the big list of tasks that you need to do in order to become a successful affiliate marketer. Sounds too simple? Well, it sort of is simple, but not as simple as you’d expect. What you need to do is to write good articles that can really answer the questions your readers have in mind. This means finding a topic, becoming thoroughly acquainted with it and analyzing possible solutions.

After you have done all this, just keep doing it every day and wait for the flood of unstopable  traffic come to your site.

Good luck,
Minh

E-zines are electronic magazine with thousands of people
who have deliberately  signed up to receive different offers
in their niche market.

If you are in a network marketing business, the type of e-zine
you should  subscribe to should be focused on home businesses
and network marketing.

If you are a subscriber of these E-zines, you should be receiving
regular  updates, tips, and promotions of different type of home
business opportunities delivered to you weekly or monthly.

These make e-zines a perfect tool for marketing your home
business opportunity.  Therefore network marketing businesses
should be promoted using e-zines because it is a highly targeted
way of getting the attention of your exact or target audience.

However, you need to follow some precautions if you want to get
the best from  your e-zine marketing. To use e-zines, you need to
place an advert that will be delivered with the weekly newsletters
that goes out to the subscribers.

Now, you have to understand that some e-zines have as much as
100,000 or as small as 1,000 subscribers and that only a percentage
of these will open their e-mail for the newsletter.

A good e-zine has a 10% open rate same day and 5% before the
next e-zine. So if you are advertising with 100,000 subscriber expect
about 15,000 eye balls for your advert.

You should also use squeeze page as the landing page where every
e-zine subscribe who clicks on your link will be directed to. This page
should be able to get the contact information of any interested
subscribe to opt-in to your  offer.

When you are promoting, you need to select the type of advert that will
give you the highest return for your money.

Here are some of the type of e-zine advert you can choose from.

A) Top sponsor ad: This appears at the top of the E-zine. It is the very
first message subscribers see before reading the newsletter of the week.

There's also Middle and Bottom sponsor advert which appear at the middle
and bottom of the advert respectively. The top sponsor ad commands more
than the middle advert and the bottom sponsor advert commands the least
ad fee.

B) Solo advert: This type is sent out to the whole subscribers alone. There is
no other advert that comes with it. It also comes on a different schedule with
the newsletter. This type of ad is very expensive depending on the size and
effective response rate of the list.

For network marketers, it is best to utilize the top sponsor advert and not
advertise your company directly as this will get you nowhere. Your aim
should be to build relationships first before you introduce your business
opportunity when the hearts of your prospects have been trained to
appreciate your message and become very receptive to you.

In other words, it is best to give something away for free when you advertise
in e-zines using top sponsor advert. Your only weapon here is to craft a
compelling and hypnotic advert message that will psychologically force
your prospects to give you their e-mail address in exchange for your free gift.

Once you have succeeded doing this, the power to get this person to loyally
listen to you is now in your hands. You have to make yourself as a trustworthy
source of information by living up to it.

You achieve this by delivering 80% high quality content and 20% pitching
them your opportunity. That way, you will build value in the minds of your
prospects.

So if you are going the e-zine advertising route, choose your e-zines wisely
and continue advertising till you attract as many people as people who will
also be willing to join your home business when you make it available.

Is doing Google better than doing E-zines guys? What kind of a budget do these different types of advertising command. Should I be spending a few hundred or a few thousand/month to get BIG results. What do the big guys spend per moth and what is most effective?

1. Content always rules. You must have quality content! It can some times be disheartening, the amount of creative effort this may take... nevertheless, if you want to be successful in Marketing Online you better get used to it my friend. Keep plowing through!

2. There is some disagreement about the importance of 'backlinks' to your website/blog. From my experience it has made a dramatic difference in the traffic coming to one of my blogs.

I know it can all be a little confusing and time consuming... especially figuring out what it is you should be doing next. I suggest that MLMer's that simply just know the future of Marketing their opportunity must involve the Internet... I suggest you keep your eyes open... the solution to most of your problems is out there and closer than you think ;)

Hey guys,

JoeSpace here. First off I'd like to say I'm loving being on these forums. Being a relatively new marketer there are tons of resources and information for newbies like me. Also, it's a great way to meet other marketers with similar experiences as you.

I've recently come into contact with a cool guy from the Eastern part of Canada named Mike Murphy.I follow his blog religiously now...not only because I feel a next of kin with a fellow Canadian..but because it's a great blog for beginning marketers trying to get over the crucial, perhaps most difficult, early parts of becoming an entrepreneur.

I love it because I can empathize with the guy and a lot of the things he goes through, I totally get, because I've gone through them myself.

Anyways, he made a post a few days ago that was helpful to me...especially if you're having trouble getting motivated or feel like quitting.

Remember massive action and never give up. Enjoy.

Later all
Joe

Although I’m relatively new to the whole Internet Marketing game, newbies come along everyday who are at square one or close to it. Here are a few tips I would think are the golden first bits of info to latch onto when getting started in IM.

1) Start TODAY. Don’t put this off any longer. Find something to try and get at it. Don’t worry about getting it perfect …just get it started.

2) Beware of information overload. There a ton of posts on the forums….try to avoid getting stuck reading post after post when you should be “working”

3) Don’t spend any more money than you have to. There are many free ways to do things that cost money. When you first start, you have more time than money so use it to your advantage. Rather than pay someone $37 to do a header graphic for you, spend a couple hours making one yourself. It might suck compared to the others out there but you’ll have learned something and at least be a step closer to getting your site live.

4) Take everything you read/hear with a grain of salt. Anyone can say they make $97,658,420 per month in IM but the proof is in the pudding. Put their methods to work and see if they make YOU money.

5) Keep an open mind and open eyes/ears. Marketing is all around us online and off and you can steal….I mean borrow ideas from MANY places. Big earners don’t throw money at marketing systems that don’t work.

6) Seek out a mentor or mentors. There are lots of helpful folks on the forums. Find the ones that you like and find helpful and keep in touch with them.

7) Never give up….ever…..EVER. Quitting is the only way to really lose at anything. As long as you’re still trying, you’re still in the game.

That’s a pretty quick and dirty first few but it’s a good start and it’s also advice that if you follow, you can save yourself some grief in the coming months.

As with anything in life, there's a right way and a wrong way to use the Internet for marketing. It's especially important to know the difference at the beginning. Otherwise, you may make some mistakes which may jeopardize your chances at ever using the Internet for your business. Literally, you can be banned from the Internet. It's happened before. Don't let it happen to you promote your business the correct way, and you'll have a far better chance at finding success on the Internet.

MARKETING VIA EMAIL
Email is the easiest method of Internet marketing for the beginner to understand, as it is so similar to "traditional" marketing methods. You're sending the prospect a marketing message, but instead of sending it through the regular mail, you're emailing it directly to them. It's quicker, cheaper, and more efficient.

Where do you find people to email your marketing message to? From other Internet marketing techniques that will be discussed later in this report. There is, though, one particular technique you should avoid.
In the "real world," it's easy to rent a mailing list of people with a specific interest in the type of product or service you're selling. You can then send your marketing materials to the people on this list, feeling relatively sure that they may be interested in what you have to offer. It's hard to do this on the Internet, though, because of the sheer number of people accessing the Internet.

There are companies, though, that will do mass emailings for a price. One particular company advertises that they will send your marketing message to 6,000,000 email addresses for under $200. This naturally sounds attractive to the marketer in us how else could you contact so many people at such a low price?

Let's think about this, though. Is this a good deal? Maybe, maybe not. This is akin to sending your marketing message to everyone in the phone book. Probably 80 percent of the people will have no interest whatsoever in what you're selling. It's highly untargeted, which will result in low conversion percentages. More important, is it the right thing to do? NO

Mass emailing is called spamming, and it is the number one offense you can commit on the Internet. Most people have to pay for their Internet access, and many of them pay by the hour (and, thus, by the minute). Another large group of them have to call long distance, since they have no local access phone number. In other words, most of the people you send your mass email to are paying to download it and read it, without having requested it.

Now, most levelheaded people will see the first few lines of the email, recognize it as an unrequested marketing message, and will delete it without thinking twice. There are people out there, though, that take it as a personal affront, an invasion of their privacy, and a waste of their money to receive your spammed email. They will respond vigorously with pranks and threats. If you've put your phone number in your email, you will receive a ton of phone calls at all times of the night. If you've included your mailing address, you may find that your address has been passed on to military recruiters, religious organizations, pornographers, and all other kinds of people whom you may not want to receive mail from. At the very least, you should expect a flood of email full of complaints and vulgarities to your own email address. I've even heard of people replying to spammed emails with hundreds of pages of the same four letter word repeated over and over, so the "spammer" can get a taste of their own medicine.

It's up to you whether you want to market your business this way. I acknowledge that a marketing message going out to 6,000,000 people is bound to bring in some sales. However, you take the risk of receiving a lot of complaints and wasted time, as well as the possibility of losing your Internet access completely. How? You could receive so many replied emails that your service provider's computer system will get jammed up, preventing other customers from being able to use the Internet. Your provider will politely ask you to go elsewhere for your Internet access, and your name will go on a list of spammers which is circulated amongst Internet providers. You may find yourself unable to get Internet access in the future. It's up to you.

MARKETING VIA USENET NEWSGROUPS
Usenet newsgroups are individual special interest bulletin boards. You can post a question, an answer, information, whatever, to a newsgroup, and anyone else can read it. Likewise, you can read anyone else's postings. This is a heavily used area for information sharing. Used correctly, it can also be a successful marketing opportunity.

Before we go on, you should know that very few newsgroups accept blatant advertising. This is a very subtle technique that may take a few tries to perfect. The key is to frequent the newsgroups that have a connection to your products or services (if you're selling information that is helpful for small business owners, for example, then you should look for newsgroups that small business owners would read), and present pertinent useful information or answers to questions, and include a short marketing message in your sig.
Your sig is your "signature" at the end of your posting. It can be up to six lines long (though a four line maximum is more universally "acceptable"), and can contain information on how to contact you (email, phone, and otherwise), as well as some short information about your business. Readers who are interested in hearing more about what you have to offer can then contact you. At that point, feel free to give them whatever marketing information you'd like; they requested it.

You will have the most success with this technique if you:  a) stay "on-topic" in your postings - don't answer someone's question with a one-line answer, only to launch into a two-page sales letter, let your sig do the work; and b) don't overdo it - you should have the mindset that you are trying to help the readers of the newsgroup, and, afterwards, get the word out about your business, not the other way around.

A good idea would be to request and read the FAQ (frequently asked question list) from every newsgroup you plan to post in. That way, you will know their exact policy on advertising, information that may be included in a sig, the exact topics they cover, etc. This will prevent any postings that are "against the rules."

MARKETING VIA WORLD WIDE WEB
The World Wide Web offers the most flexible solution for marketing on the Internet. You are free to put up whatever information you'd like, in whatever quantity you'd like. After all, you're the one paying for the space. Plus, you can put links on your pages so people can instantly send an email to you for more information, you can have forms for them to fill out, you can even take orders on your pages.

Preparing content for the web can be very easy. In many cases, you can use the same materials you use in your printed mailings. Of course, they will have to be converted to the HTML document markup language that web pages are made of. This is not difficult to do yourself, once you've learned how. If you don't want to learn how, if you don't have a scanner for importing any images from your marketing materials, or if you want a sophisticated website with forms and product order-taking and/or delivery capabilities, you should choose a professional website designer to take care of it for you.

Of course, there's more to it than just putting up your website: you need to promote it. Luckily, this is easy to do. There are over a dozen "search engines" (databases of websites) on the web, each of which you can submit information about your website to. All it entails is accessing the website of each search engine, and reading the details on submissions. If you have a professional design your website, see if they include this in their services - a good web designer will make this a part of the package. And don't confine your publicizing to online. Be sure to promote your website in the "real world" through paid advertising, press releases, etc., just like a product.
You will need to ensure that people who visit your website will want to come back frequently. Do this by changing your content on a regular basis. For example, if you have informational reports that they can download for free, rotate the reports so new ones are available at least every two weeks. Contests can be a good idea, too. For example, give a free product to the person who collects all the clues that you sprinkle throughout your website over a two month period.

Put these techniques together, and you'll have an Internet marketing
machine!
