Hi
I am about to make a website and going to launch it within few days. This is my first website. What I wanted to know from you people is how do I make sure I am complying with all FTC rules and regulations. Could the products I sell physically injure someone and how can I protected myself in that event? Is there any way I could harm my self or my business without any notification. I need your suggestions

Hi Oscar,
For information on the FTC and its guidelines, just go to the FTC's site. You can also check out MLMLegal for additional legal info. for MLMers.
Honestly, I would strongly suggest contacting an attorney to get answers to some of these questions. While we all can provide good advice, there's no replacement for real legal council. And as you know, it's better to be safe than sorry.
As for injury, there's no way to know whether or not your products could injure someone without knowing what those products are. And again, that's probably something that you should have an attorney look at if you really want to play it safe.
But to get a feel of things, check other peoples' sites that sell similar products and see what they include in their site content, user agreement/disclaimers, etc. Chances are you have nothing to worry about, but one should always be fully prepared before going public with their products.
Shine on,
Aar n

Personally, I'd never use or rely on an ebook for legal advice on business matters. That's just asking for trouble if you ask me. First of all, there's no guarantee at all that any of the information is accurate, let alone, current.
And the federal regulations of the FTC are not the only regulations that must be followed. Each state has its own regulations as well. And one must abide by all the laws and regulations for each individual state in which one does business. In my opinion, the only place to get proper legal advice is from one who actually practices law. And if you can't afford to hire an attorney to sift through things for you, check their websites. Many have very complete information on them - not to mention that the FTC's website itself spells out all the laws and guidelines as well.
Shine on,
Aar n

I wouldn't be overly concerned with this.
If you have assets to protect, perhaps you want to consult a lawyer.
You should be able to locate a standard legal disclaimer and get a
script that requires purchasers to check a box to verify they are
aware of the potential dangers of using your product.
Sounds like you are just starting out. The FTC goes after big fish,
generally.
