Hey guys,
I've been noticing a tremendous amount of web marketing using videos. I've already used ProAudioWizard and AudioGenerator for my audio links...HOWEVER..
Does anyone recommend using Video in our advertising, and if so, which vendors should I use? (Url's please!)
Thanks,
Cedric

Hi Cedric,
Doesn't it all depend on what you want to use it for? For example. I think that providing a video tutorial is much better than having to write a 30 page book.
Personally I wouldn't put any kind of marketing videos on my site, but that's just me. Audio is different though, because you can get across a lot of information in less time than it would take someone to read a whole page of text.
But in both cases, to make effective use of video or audio, you have to be very clear and confident in your speech. If you listeners/watches detect a hint of lack of confidence you will probably loose them.
Well that's my opinion anyway. Anyone else have any thoughts?
As to where you can get video software, I'm going to conform to forum rules.

Hi cedric, after I saw your post I bought Chris Koel's ProAudo Wizard. I recorded my voice and copied the html code on to my leadpage. But the audi button and the audio itself doesn't load on my site. How did you get yours to work?
here id the code:
<object classid="clsid 27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="201" height="73">
<param name="movie" value="lipoadio.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<embed src="lipoadio.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="201" height="73"></embed>
</object>
Many thanks in anticipation

I have doen quite a bit of video marketing... and its not
as simple to get traffic as you might wish it to be... which
has to do with the pshycology of people who watch online
videos more than anything.
Without a doubt, in my mind, the best software for making
HOT talking head infomercials is Serious Magic's Visual Communicator.
http://www.adobe.com/products/visualcommunicator/
If you log on to YOUTUBE and search for my username there : MalibuMentor,
you will find several videos that were made, FAST, with this software.
Its not a conventional video-editing solution, which makes it
quicker to learn on the fly. Visual Communicator is a lot of fun
to use... but making a good video presentation always comes
down to the quality of the SCRIPT...

heck yeah I think the value of
how the script engages the
audience is of pretty high importance
and crucial to say the very least.
I'm just going to hang on to
doing a few audios and then
branching out to videos when I've
completed some other project
on my hands.
Cheers,

| I thought this site was interesting. Do you have to make your own video and provide the people, or do they do it for you?

Camtasia is a great marketing tool. I create video tutorials teaching various marketing strategies for my business partners.
Camtasia is a bit expensive though so for those on a tight budget I recommend http://www.camstudio.org It's a free download.

Yeah i've been using videos for a couple of months now..I get great conversions compared to just audio or written content. But if you combine all 3 you can't go wrong!

Camtasia is a great product. You can get a free trial for free. Use it. People like to learn new information especially when you are teaching something of value. For editing, use Windows Movie Maker. It's free. For video distribution, use tubemogul. It's free and you can track your videos to see which site works the best. Finally, add some video to you social networking sites. If you do so, you will see a tremendous increase in business for you.

Hey Everyone
Let me share how I get Tons of targeted traffic fast WITHOUT SPENDING A DIME!
Video Marketing!
I get over 50 ‘Optins’ (good leads) a day to my website. The leads produce new reps and sales… It’s an incredibly profitable strategy that anyone can follow….
I got to 50 Optins a day within 60 days and it took me about 1 hour per day. That’s probably from about 200-300 Website hits per day (That would cost you over $2000 a month with PPC)
This increases with time because video is content and Google loves content. It’s faster to get indexed than article marketing and people just love watching videos. Many of my fellow marketers concur that video is giving them their highest conversions from traffic-sales… Here’s a Step By Step Guide on How to Get Lots of Video Traffic
1. Set Up a YouTube Account
----------------------------------------
YouTube is the #2 visited website after Google. Google owns it and ranks YouTube videos VERY highly. I have gotten my videos on page 1 within 6 hours, producing an avalanche of quick traffic
Here’s a great tutorial, but one thing has changed, you can't do 20 minute video's anymore.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKtNkZhKHSE
2. Set Up a http://www.TubeMogul.com Account (Free)
---------------------------------------------------------
This will distribute your videos to about 20 other video sharing sites at once. The traffic is not as great as Youtube, but all free traffic is good and it’s a 10 minute upload each day to 20 sites!
3. Make your videos
-----------------------------
I personally use a digital camera, but you can use video cameras, web-cams, cell-phones etc (anything that records video)
Keep it under 100mb so you can upload it
Now here is a tutorial on how to upload your video to youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNqwVyFSqcE
"Gregg what should my first video be about?"
Your first video should be your story and how you can help someone with your products, service or business opportunity.. for example
"Hi my name is _______ contributing author of http://www.xyz.com...
I created this video to find like minded people who are frustrated trying to make money from home and want to know the secrets of making $10k per month. I will get back to that later first let me tell you a little about myself.
(Next go into your background and interests..Then talk about your main frustrations you have had trying to make money online...
Then solve the problem)
I found this guy on YouTube showing me how to make money online, he took me by the hand and step by step showed me how to create video's advertise my business worldwide for free.
Now my life is a dream, I will now be able to achieve my dream of making $10k from home because now I make $XXXX Per Sale or $XXXX Per Month marketing my http://www.xyz.com website and I would love to show you what we are doing and exactly how I can help you with your X, Y, Z Challenges"
BIG Tip – The X, Y and Z challenges should be in your description and keyword tags too)
If You aren’t yet making $XXXX per Month, simply talk about the amount per sale of your product or service…. Or you can talk about your mentor’s success or even the success of the guy that you bought that particular product from… It’s all about stories of how real live people used your product to go from X to Y (It doesn’t matter if it’s your own story or someone elses)
At the end make sure you have a strong call to action telling them to visit your website to get further details on how they can solve their X, Y and Z challenges (You need to repeat the pain/s + your solution)
See how I do this on any of my videos. I only put this channel up yesterday… I still have work to do on it
http://uk.youtube.com/SponsoringSuccess
Always put your web address in the video. I use Windows Movie maker for this… it’s already on your PC and you can add sound files, music… It’s very easy to use
Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Movie Maker
4. Great ideas for video content
----------------------------------------
1. How your product will help someone go from X (pain) to Y (solution / pleasure)
2. Your story and how you went from X to Y or how you helped someone else go from X to Y
3. What (Guru) taught you about X
People search for gurus on Google. Your video will show up if you use their name in the Title, Description & Keywords. See how I do this here
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=-1Mv13G1IdM
Think about all the gurus and what you have learned from them just buy reading their books / audio etc. many people are followers of these gurus and will connect with you and your product/service because YOU TOO follow that guru and it made you successful
"What I learned from Anthony Robbins that help me make $XXXXX a Month"
"What I learned from Internet Marketing Guru Mr X that helped me make $XXXXX a Month"
"Guru X’s dirty secrets that helped me put $XXX in my pocket for just 2 hours work"
5. Titles, Tags, Descriptions, Keywords
--------------------------------------------------
- Do your keyword research first
- Put the keywords in the video titles, tags and in your description
- Put your URL at the top of your description. You must use http://
Look closely at my tags where it says ‘more info’ next to the date. You will see how to properly optimize with RELEVANT KEYWORDS and not overload with tags that are of no relevance
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5GrVHkLL-Cs
6. Have fun, be real and don’t try to be a ‘Polished Presenter’
--------------------------------------------------------------------
When I started doing videos, I used to waste so much time writing scripts and wearing by best shirt so I would look good…. Big mistake!
I soon learned that I get a much better response when I am just looking REAL, having a blast and not trying to present like some prime-time newsreader
If you look too slick, people think that you are so good, that’s why you are making the money and they will never think they can be as good as you… And they are less likely to buy your product
Be real and normal!
If you work in your shorts, then great… shoot a video of you in your shorts.
It’s GREAT when you ramble and flummox your words. People can relate to that. They go "Yeah I do that too" and they TRUST you… Which is one of the most important factors in people buying your products!
7. It’s all about valuable content – Get it out there as fast as you can
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m now doing 3-4 videos a day and my traffic is starting to explode…So don’t worry about getting it perfect, just get it going… The only way to get good at videos is to do lots of them
Like I was, you will probably be poor to start with, then you get better... The more you do, the more you find you have to say
Videos are just another form of marketing and communicating your value to your market. It’s no different than writing a sales letter on a website.
- It’s more fun
- It produces a lot of highly targeted traffic that grows in time
- It’s free and produces revenue and sales (nothing better)
I’ll put up some more tips soon, but in the meanwhile take up my challenge of doing 1 video each day for the next 90 days and watch your traffic and sales go nuts!
It would be great if any other members could post their successes and/or challenges with Video marketing for driving targeted traffic to their sites
How's it working for everyone else?
Gregg

I recently put up about 4 videos on various pages of my main network marketing website as well as 1 video on many of my other websites and my conversion rates have soared. I also get quite a few prospects commenting about my videos so I highly recommend it.

I have spent most of my 15 years online dedicating thousands of hours checking out certain trends and statements made by top income earners. The program that I took on was Abunza. I choose Abunza because of the fact it wasn't a 1 or 2 up compensation plan, so I could actually see the results immediately. Good or bad, it was an ideal program to test Web 2.0.
When I started studying web 2.0, it became very clear that Web 2.0 meant different things to different people. I found one so called "expert in Abunza," claiming that Web 2.0 was simply sticking 30 videos on You Tube. He called himself an expert in Web 2.0 and he was making rather good money. I found that web 2.0 can be as simple or complex as you wish to make it. You can use web 2.0 many ways. The more you spread it out, the more success you will have. It was such an interesting topic, I decided to spend some long days working with my web 2.0 techniques with Abunza. I spent days studying Web 2.0 and actually took bits and pieces from several "experts" in the field and applied them to my own case study.
Needless to say, this test wasn't about money, it was about traffic and how targeted the traffic actually was. With 15 years of experience in dealing with different traffic techniques and resources, I came into this project with a better understanding of traffic than most. To me, Web 2.0 is where users interact with others using different social media outlets. That is a simple version of what I was looking at. As I got involved in the more complicated aspect s of social marketing, it became clear that if certain techniques were used, Web 2.0 might be an awesome traffic generation tool (System). It just might be the answer to expensive leads.
It also came clear that if Web 2.0 was used effectively, this might be the perfect advantage that many home business owners could use. I say this because buying leads, calling them, following up with them, chasing them, might save people thousands of hours in lost time, and save them thousands of dollars in BAD lead sources. First, I built a web site, headed over to You Tube and submitted several videos. I joined several social marketing sites, such as Direct Matches, Facebook, Squidoo, and another 10 or so. I was very active in meeting and adding new contacts in all sites. Not only did I put my videos on You Tube, I added all my videos to another 15 media sites and played around with keywords.
The one thing I noticed almost instantly, was how big of an impact using the same keywords in the TITLE and adding those keywords in the description. That actually was something that surprised me. The awesome part of using videos was almost a given that I would end up on page 1-3 on Yahoo and Google with very little effort. I do agree that it took a good chunk of time setting up my Web 2.0 system. I had researched different tactics and applied most of them. At the 3 week mark, I was averaging about 40-60 leads daily. Doing a little math, I would have spent about $1,000 if I had bought leads. I found that maybe I had spent around $20.00 and the prospects were much, much better than buying leads. So far, I were impressed.
The next thing I did was build a better automated system. I found it was crucial as the leads started to grow. Adding a series of video auto responders was a big help and one more key to actually cementing a relationship with my prospects without even talking to anyone. Bingo ! I had people contacting me, signing up with no communication, and developing an excellent relationship with little or no effort on my part. Ok, so here is the bottom line. I'm convinced that Web 2.0 is a winner. In fact, people on a limited budget with a little coaching, can actually apply Web 2.0 without spending a dime. I did use a couple techniques that I don't have time to describe in this article. The outcome of my testing web 2.0 was just short of amazing and seems to be everything that I have read about. Web 2.0 simply works.
Unlike the old MLM methods of spending a fortune on useless leads, or technical know how, you just need a $50.00 Logitech Quick Cam, and a program that you can use to format your videos. I found Hello World ($10 per month) as a good resource. If I could come up with anything negative to say about this entire Web 2.0 experience, trust me, I would say it. I found it very lucrative, little money out of pocket, and a success rate I have not witnessed in my 15 years online. I also came up with a few tricks of my own just by playing around with videos and social networking sites. I actually found it fun. After doing the most common aspects of Web 2.0, there certainly are many methods that can be applied to web 2.0.
If you are not into Web 2.0, you will find out as I did, this method of marketing not only works, it doesn't take very long to create a nice income for yourself. I did some cross linking using our Video links. Since I was having some good success, I opened up and actively used 360Yahoo, Squidoo, Facebook, Wordpress, etc. Most of my video linking was pointed back to my main splash site. The traffic started to come. Some methods worked much better than others. I found myself being contacted by other marketers. I was in this project for 5 weeks now. I had several sign-ups, and a pipeline of leads that was growing daily. I found that I was getting good organic search engine position without all the complex submission stuff I had spent years perfecting. I found that the three items listed below became the mainstream when testing web 2.0.
(1) A couple things that really caught my attention was the simple fact that very little money, if any, produced several thousands dollars.
(2) If the methods I used are actually implemented, you are looking at only 1-2 working hours daily regardless of what business you were promoting.
(3) Anyone can become very efficient in web 2.0 with a little help and research.
David Lake has spent most of his 15 years studying free traffic techniques and the implication of automated systems for various companies. Most of what he teaches is produced in downloadable web formats. http://www.9608.goinetusa.com

Hey, I know online video works from my and other people's experience.
If you're planning for leads, then I can set as example the 30DayChallenge site where every day they receive 30-50 new members per day from their posted content on youtube.
One tip that might be off-topic: Create a video about a current event in your country or US. You'll receive A LOT OF VIEWS then. There was an event in my country and a song for it, I uploaded it on youtube and got over 10.000 views in 10 days!

I agree, video marketing can be very powerful! And I agree with Michael, people respond better when you engage more than one of the senses. I absolutely HATE those sites that tease you up front, then you read through and scroll down and down and down seemingly endlessly, getting VERY LITTLE new information on the way. Finally you come to the bottom line offer, the price, and you still don't really know what the heck it is you're getting. I usually don't do all the scrolling, I go right to the bottom and see how much that particular GURU wants to charge me for their program or information. And, I almost NEVER buy. It's frustrating.
On the other hand, a well crafted professionally done video presentation that actually gives factual and informative content can truly "captivate" me. The operative phrase here is "well crafted professionally done." Nothing is worse than those cheesy, amaturish (like ones found on You Tube in droves) webcam videos that have terrible sound or picture quality, awful scripts, and sound like the guy or gal is talking in a tin can and reading a script (very poorly, I might add). I'm not saying all homemade is necessarily bad, but poorly done homemade is! I am a singer and songwriter, one of my many diversions in life. It can be a curse at times, when I put on a new CD or turn on a radio station and hear a poorly written or arranged song (even if it's by a popular artist). I just cannot enjoy a badly written (lyrically or musically) or poorly arranged song.
When I get an email or go to a website and a video loads up that's poorly done, inordinately long, or whatever, I don't hang around long enough to find out what the thing is promoting, I move on. So, IMHO, if you are going to do your own video, take the time to proof your script, try it out on friends, family, anyone, first. Second, take the time and, if necessary spend the money to have it done professionally and have it done RIGHT. If you can do that with a web cam sitting in front of some kind of decent background, go for it. If you can't, find someone who can, even if you have to pay them to do it.
Soap Box now vacated, LOL!

Video marketing is KING.
The biggest tip I can give is to keep SEO in mind when you do your videos. I put up a video on Youtube 5 months ago at about the same time as another rep posted his. I SEOed my video and have nearly 15k hits where as the other guy has about 200 hits. That's a big difference.
Here is the best part. My video has become viral, meaning that the video has picked up momentum and is driving massive traffic and phone calls daily.
This is my question and that is, how do I get video to show up clean when trying to make a video from screen shots? The videos come up with all those distracting lines. Do I need a different video making program or do I make adjustments to what I have.
Could it be the speed? if so how do i make the adjustment? Any help?

PM Hayes,
To SEO a video isn't much more then what you when you SEO your Blogs, Webpages, Articles.
1. Target your title to your niche keywords and audience
2. Target your discription to your title and keywords.
3. Keywords. Don't keyword stuff. Stay with 20 or less keywords. I see people keyword stuff with everything under the sun. In my opinion, it may work for the site the video is on like youtube, but the search engines view that as spam and will move on.
When your title, description, and keywords flow in harmony you will get better results.
But that's not all there is to SEO, just a few important pointers. It's all about word play.

| Geno, i understand what seo is, what i meant was, how do you do that for a video? I am assuming the video is on You Tube. Are you creating a web page that you tube links to, and you are doing seo on that web page? Explain.
