Hey everybody havn't been on the forum for a while.
I have just recently been using My Space as a Business Strategy. I found a product called Friend Blaster that will search pages on My Space and then collect the ID's of people in the pages you have selected.
You can then send out a message to all these people and ask them to be your friends,ie people with similiar interests. At first I considered this to be a form of spamming but the people can choose to block you and not accept you as a friend if they so choose. They can view your space and make their own informed decision.
What does everyone think - Spamming or not???

I was also recently introduced to using MySpace as a form of Free advertising. I was told that as long as you don't send out more than 500 friend requests per day then it won't be considered spamming.
I sent out about 100 per day and within 1 week, my profile was deleted. I thought I'd try again, but this time only request about 30 per day... again, my acount was deleted.
I don't know if Friend Blasters still work, from what I have read, they certainly used to, but maybe MySpace is cracking down on it now.
Anyhow, I did not have any luck with it, and I did not persue it because it felt like spamming and I did not feel that comfortable with it.

I agree with you. I won't be using the friend blaster but will continue to chat and make friends the old fashioned way.

Yeah, I used another friend adder before friend blaster and had no problem adding friends. I had up to 9,000 at one point. Then one day I started using friend blaster and my account was deleted within 24 hours. Maybe mypsace is cracking down. You can imagine how bad I felt after losing 5 months worth of work (adding friends) in one day. Bummer

Yes I have now had numerous friends removed from my space for using Friendblaster.
So I have opted to good old fashion chatting in groups.
Although I have found a few of the Social Network sites very particular about what you advertise or write. But I guess with the millions of users they can pick and choose.

I do not think or consider it to be a scam. Its yet another way to promote the blog or bring in visitors. It will help in bringing unique IP address which everyone needs. Is a similar kind of facility available in blogspot? If its so, then many would be very happy.
And also not everyone could send more than 50 requests per day. It will prove hectic for the person to do so. But one can do it, if the content is unique and really useful. Else it will be an yet another scrap in the net.

Hey,
i am not sure about those friend blasters! I have been using one for a while, but when you think about it's not worth it! What's the point of having thousand of friends, where you actually just know a handful!
I believe that Relationships build income and getting to know each other is the best way to eventually become business partners! I mean you might be able to recruit a ton of people to your opportunity, but the questions is will they stick?
In my opinion myspace has become more and more full of spammers...no wonder they delete tons of profiles...If you use myspace right, it will be an invaluable source of leads for your business...

Good Question and I gotta agree with Dennis....he basically made my point for me.
Relationship building is much more important than having a gigantic friend list with MySpace just for the sake of having a big list.

MySpace deletes more than spammers' profile. MySpace is a great social marketing site. DON"T RUIN YOUR REPUTATION BY BECOMING A SPAMMER!!!!! I can't tell you that enough. Your reputation is all you have. Use MySpace in the correct ways.

I have heard of people sending thousands using different types of software. I never have used it though. I have friend blaster pro but use it for a totally different reason. There are software you can purchase to get around that.
