1. Post in your blog by writing an article everyday or more than once a day. Title each blog post around a keyword phrase that is relevant to the theme of your website.

2. Ping each blog post. You can do that easily here : http://www.autopinger.com/default.aspx

3. Use OnlyWire to get your article online via Social Bookmarking: http://www.onlywire.com/

4. Read Jack Humphrey's "2007 Authority Black Book" for the most comprehensive ways to make money taking blogging to the next level and beyond. http://www.jackhumphrey.com/fridaytrafficreport/

Good luck. The internet again is changing. Bloggin combined with Social Networking makes it possible for anyone to quickly get meaningful traffic.

Yea, it is good! I read his "Power Linking" book a couple of years ago and got a lot out of it. This is short, but packed with everything you need to get a lot of traffic via Web 2.0

Krystal,

There's a ton of useful information already in this Blog Marketing Discussion Board.  Read thru all the threads and you'll absorb quite a bit.

Especially read and apply what you find in this thread:

God Bless,

When writting blogs you have to use keywords that will produce more traffic.  Try to use the tittle of your blog a least 1 if not twice in the first paragraph and than you have to try to use it a few more times in your article.  This is pretty tricky because you don't want the reader to see repeats over and over because they will get borred or unintrested in your article.  Be careful when writting!

good luck~

Not really , if you want google to index you yes, but most of the time
if your blog is really uniqye people who stumble upon your blog will
naturally add your link in their blog as a testimonial that you have
great contents worth reading. this is called viral marketing.

Regards,

Vern

I havnt blogged in awhile but i am going to get back into it. I got some traffic to my blog,i was really shocked. I ping it everyday and i notice my url tracking went up in numbers, i even got a few sales from my blog. This is a powerful tool to use, it doesn't take long to do but after doing it for awhile it can really take your marketing to a new level.

I used all the keywords to get the searches going, this is a great free tool to use.

Hi JC,

yes, here's just about 3 pointers
to help you get started:

1. Find a topic or business you really
like to talk about on a regular basis

2. Start a Blogger.com account and
start putting your very first post.
Don't worry about all the technical stuff.

3. Refine and beautify your blog as
time goes by day by day.

Just do a little each day and at the
end of the week you'd be suprised to
see how much you learned..
and also implemented in your blog.

Cheers,

Vern ;)

Re keywords:

Bloggers sometimes jam their blogs with the most obvious and popular keywords.  I think this is sometimes a waste of effort because they'll be competing with millions of other sites then.  Sometimes you can get a constant flow of traffic from words that are a bit less popular (though not obscure).

Though this isn't directly related to marketing, I have anecdotal evidence:

A couple of years ago I blogged about a minor Australian celebrity who was briefly famous (or rather, infamous) in the early nineties.  I ended up on page 1 of Google searches for her name.  (Still there, as far as I know.)

I must have received several hundred, if not over a thousand visitors from searches for her name.

So, my advice is: don't just go for "A-list" keywords.  Try the B and C lists as well.  You might corner the market!

I have been blogging for about a month on my new home business blog,
Never really tried to optimise the content to the keywords.

I was thinking content seems to be more important so i am focusing more on getting content onto the blog on a regular basis.

Would it be efficient to have a blog with targeted keywords but low or little content??

Or would a lot of content with related content but less targeted keywords be as good?
