I still am confused on the rss feed what is this and what is the benefit of the rss feed.

Hi Michael,
This feedburner integration looks great. Question: do you believe in still using autoresponders for your business or does this take the place of that? The topics I blog are not all sequential and not a perfect sequence to bring someone into my biz, so do I still need a regular autoresponder series in addition to the integrated Aweber feed?
Also, do you believe in ARs that go on forever? For a while I was a member of the funded proposal system Power Prospecting. Their ARs go on forever. I would think someone would get tired of it. I do. Do you mind sharing your perspective of how long an AR series should be for new MLM biz builders you hope to bring in?

Hi Stephanie,
I'll keep this short and simple .... otherwise I risk droning on. 
Yes, I believe there is a place for autoresponders in the RSS feed world. Two seperate purposes and audiences. Blog feed are for saubscribers to your blog who only receive what you post to your blog. What they read there should hopefully influence them to buy directly from a blog or blog post link ...... and/or optin to an autoresponder series of some sort. but ... the longer they remain a feed subscriber the better chance they do something.
For autoresponder periodicity depends on the purpose of the series. I'd suggest more than 1. For example .... 1 series to entice an action such as joining.buying. No more than every 3 -5 days and run for at least 7-10 individual mailings. Studies show it takes 5-7 "exposures" for a purchase like decision to formulate in a person's psyche.
If they don't purchase or join put them on a long term "stay intouch" series with say 1-2 infomails per month until they take the desired action or optout.
Once they join/purchase .... put them on a "training" series of 3-5 pieces.....with a 1 a month update/news/tips&insights piece after that.

Always, always appreciate your insight! Very precise and helps a lot. Thank you. I found Aweber a little complicated the last time I tried it but I was in a hurry. I'll sign up again and take a little more time with it. It sounds like their functionality is much better now, too! Thanks again!

In general terms an RSS feed is an "auto-update" of your blog posts which people will subscribe to. For example....when you update your blog (post a new article) anyone subscribing through your RSS feed will automaticall recieve the update. Sort of an ezine/autoresponder on steriods. Lots of action for very little effort.
