Hi, I just wanted to let everyone know of a free option to buying the high price Camtasia.

Dont think that I do not already have Camtasia, but when I help others get into

Online Marketing with their Home Business, I tell them about CamStudio.  You can

download this for free and use the free version to get started making videos for your

campaign. Please check into it, as Camtasia is around 300 dollars to purchase.  I

have tried this program and it works just fine.  It is perfect if you are on a budget.

Just a tip for you, if you are on a budget.

Hi Tommy,

It is a good product.

I found it worked best with the file size kept to a minimum (no bulky video files).

Thank you Tommy!

This will be great to show my team members that can not afford
Cantasia in the beginning.

Can you use it to record video from pc-cam? I didn't quite understand it.

Jing at http://jingproject.com is also a good tool. It only allows for 5 minutes of recording, but it's free and I use it quite often for my training videos

Thanks Tommy,

I have been wanting to use Camtasia, but was held back due to the cost.  I have previewed CamStudio and it looks excellent.

I am very happy to have found this forum, a lot of great information and very selfless sharing!  Refreshing!

Lorna

Well. I used to use Camstudio but the quality is quite blurred. And if you try those shareware of screen recorders, you will find majority of them are worthy every penny.

My suggestion is, get paid screen recorder for more vivid and impressive screencast. If you really get embarrassed about the price. There will be many alternatives at different cost level for you.

I use DemoCreator ($99) to make video tutorial and presentation for my site and customers. The video/audio editing is decent that none of free screen recorder can do for you.

Sometimes free will cost you more. It's not just a joke.
